So, uhm, I'm Mia. This is my fanfiction account, I guess. I have another one where I post all my actual requests and stuff. I like to write and have good grammar but then I like to talk to people over the internet with the skills of a three year old with two broken arms. Uhm. I like Netflix. I feel you. Not a huge fan of Florida either. If I could choose, I'd be up somewhere in New England, maybe way out west.
It wasn't even really the colleges, it was the staying with a relative I'd never ever met or even heard of part. Like, it was my grandfather's second cousin. He didn't even really know her. It was awkward. She corrected my speech. A lot.
Me: *coughs awkwardly* "So, uhm, it looks like it's gonna rain.."
Her: "Don't say 'uhm' when you speak. And 'gonna' is not a word. You say 'going to'."
Me: *chokes on food* "I'm sorry--"
This is what to do with your life: Don't be an old lady who's main priority is correcting teenagers' speech patterns. *eye twitch*

Yeah we only travel to Florida for vacation so it's kind of a bummer.
That's how I feel about my entire family. I barely know them and when we try to make conversation it ends up going like this:
Them: Oh do you remember us??
Me: Uhhh...yes??
Them: I used to hold you when you were just a baby!! You were so cute!
Me: that's nice.....*stares at hands awkwardly*
Them: Oh honey come here, you remember her right?
Me:*sighs*
That is what happens every single time... I barely know them or anything about them

And to add one of the little icon things, you just use : iconwhateverthehellitscalledplz : without the spaces. In the middle you put the name. Like, the one I used was called 'Brightfuture'. It's the same for people's accounts, only you don't add the 'plz' on at the end (or at least, I don't).
To link things, I use the coding < a href = " DIRECT LINK " > whatever you want it to say here < / a >
Then, of course, remove the spaces. Whatever you put between the > and the end tag is what will show up as the link. So, like, instead of the link itself showing up, it'll be the words you wrote there as the link.
E.g.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQolXZ…
vs.
