yeah i'm kind of evenly bad at b&w and color/shading but at least you got the lineart down to a perfection. haha, i just kind of generalized the music taste by your lyrical works like metric and architecture in helsinki and stars. dunno.

Hey, Roy. As a playing card enthusiast and collector; I love custom designed decks of playing cards, as well as manipulating them and putting them to use in card cheating techniques, playing card flourishes (which are fancy, artful moves executed with cards to display skill), and even card magic tricks, I was very very impressed with your playing card art. I was particularly impressed with the 4 of Diamonds one.
Anyway, I'd like to see your take on the 5 of Spades, my favourite card.

as a little addition; I tipped Kenneth (below) about this profile. I also feel a lot of your art has a sort of Si Scott ( [link] ) touch to it, with the endless spirals and intricate work as seen in the 4 of Diamonds, 4 of Clubs, and some of the stuff in the 5 of Hearts and probably others as well. It would perhaps be of your interest that Si Scott custom designed a pack of playing cards for Dan and Dave Buck, two extremely talented card handling brothers. Architecture in Helsinki was the first (and only) band concert I've been to (excluding, of course, bands of the symphony type). I went to one of their concerts in SF last year. It was very cool.
