There we go! I love Doctor Who as well, though I've only watched 2 1/2 seasons with the 10th doctor.

Haha, okay, those are unusual grounds for disliking Sherlock but that's fair enough. I enjoy the scriptwriting and cinematography and I think the acting is phenomenal, so it's a win all around for me. Plus, I'm fascinated by Sherlock Holmes stories in general. I've been meaning to watch Elementary, the American Sherlock Holmes show.

Ah, well I've seen nearly all episode Lol. You should try watching them online or get Netflex.

I like John and Moriarty but no one else, I think Moriarty is really funny too ^.^ You should watch Dirk Gently it's the best Detective show out there, plus Dirk Gently is good looking, he would make a great Doctor.

That's of the episodes non-missing there is still a few missing I think, not to sure. I watch it everyday, which I should sop as I seem to never get my homework done. I just love everything about it but River Song, I HATE RIVER SONG, and it not just the fact that shes married to The Doctor, he basically only married her to save the universe.

No need to freak out! It's totally okay For future reference, I've only seen series 2 and 3 and up to "Midnight" in series 4, so there's quite a lot of history that I don't know about (not to mention future episodes).

I've just taken a break in recent times from watching Doctor Who, but I'm definitely going to catch up on the episodes I haven't seen yet on Netflix very soon.

I love Moriarty too, haha. He does make a funny and interesting villain. And I like John a lot as well. One of the reasons why I love the show so much is because I think the chemistry between John and Sherlock is fantastic.

Dirk Gently sounds pretty interesting; I'd like to take a look at the novel version too. Thanks for the recommendation!

Yeah lol, everyone says Sherlock is great looking, I disagree, The 5, 8, 11/12 & 13 Doctors are good looking, Dirk Gently is good looking, Sherlock is not good looking. It's a fact, oh yeah.

As far as I know they have all the seasons ever released, all the way back to 1963.

I don't think Sherlock is good-looking in a conventional sense either, but there is something captivating about his face - it's very alien-looking and remarkably expressive. I'm intrigued by it and, yes, attracted to it, but it's a unique kind of attraction.

I'm a little confused as to which Doctors you're referring to; I can tell you're including John Hurt's doctor in your count. Maybe you can list the actor's names? (For the record, I think David Tennant and Matt Smith make the most attractive doctors.)

I'm not attracted to it in any way, he looks too alien, I can't believe Moffat considered him to be The Doctor, and now he's saying that Matt Smith could be a new main character in Sherlock, NO. WAY.

Nooo, before you get too excited, I need to correct that -_- Apparently Netflix has cherry-picked a few episodes from each season of Classic Doctor Who, and a lot of people are saying they didn't pick the best ones. Repeat: they do have some old Doctor Who episodes on Netflix, and that just might be enough to make it worthwhile for you to get an account, but most of the episodes aren't there.

Well, I think we might have to agree to disagree, haha. I would enjoy seeing Benedict Cumberbatch as the Doctor and it would be fun for me to see Matt Smith in Sherlock, albeit a bit weird, since he's immortalized as the Doctor for me.

Okay, if I'm not mistaken, David Tennant regenerates into...himself at some point, right? (Don't give me too many details, as I haven't seen the episode yet.)

I haven't really had the chance to survey what the other Doctors look like since I haven't watched the older ones. I'm a little hesitant about going back so far into TV history; I feel like the lack of good special effects might unfortunately make it quite hard for me to watch. Not to mention that David Tennant's portrayal of the Doctor is very close to my heart, in more ways than one.

Well I did say I hate Sherlock, but I've only ever seen 30 minutes of an episode. From what I saw I didn't like it.

Yes he does, it's a great episode, one of the best, your close to the episode, I hope you enjoy it when you see it, it's a 2 part episode, The Stolen Earth & Journey's End, but before you watch them, I recommend watching Genesis of the Daleks, it's probably on Netflex, it's with the 4th Dr, Sarah Jane Smith and Harry Sulivan.

It's actually hard for me to concentrate on a 1st Dr, 2nd Dr, 3rd Dr and 6th Dr episode, but I do try my best and concentrate. David Tennant is joint 1st with me with the other Doctor's I mentioned before, I do recommend watching these episodes though (There's 1 from each Classic Doctor) -

1st Dr - An Unearthly Child (The first episode ever!)
2nd Dr - The Tomb of the Cybermen (You do want to laugh at the Cybermen when you watch it, but it's a fan favorite)
3rd Dr - The Daemons (I couldn't think of one so just picked this)
4th Dr - Genesis of the Daleks (SPOILER - It'll explain The Stolen Earth/Journey's End, this episode is plain great and the 1st of a new enemy)
5th Dr - Earthshock (SPOILER - One of the saddest episodes, and not the first episode of where someone important dies, but the first one where a main companion does, plain brilliant, I cry every time)
6th Dr - Trial of a TimeLord (Okay, it does have 14 parts, but they put it on because that was while Doctor Who was axed, but a good episode to watch if you had to watch the 6th Dr)
7th Dr - Remembrance of the Daleks (Plain brilliant, the last episode with Dalek's from the Classic era)
8th Dr - Doctor Who: The Movie (Amazing, 8th Dr's only episode, well movie, last thing with The Master in it from the Classic era)

I'd say you're judging Sherlock a bit prematurely, seeing as each episode is 90 minutes long. But if it's not your style no big deal *shrug* I love it but I understand not everyone is going to.

Oh jeez, this list is overwhelming haha. I'm going to have to take it slowly. Tell me this - the Doctors before David Tennant, are they as lovable as he is? Or nearly so?

Yeah, it's just not my thing.

Some of them are probably same level of lovable, Tennant is the most human like Doctor seeing as he falls in love with all the girls like Rose, Smith is meant to be most alien, also the bravest. Davison, McGann and Tennant are all same lovable level, but for me Smith is the highest, this is my opinion of course.
