Thank you for favouring The Place Of Dead Roads, a sort of 'Unforgiven' meets 'Naked Lunch' as a book. Very effective, I thought, and somehow more accessible than some of his other works. When I had nearly finished this bleak piece, based on a photo of some stainless steel sheet somewhere, I thought almost immediately of the book by Wm. Burroughs.
