draw more. practice makes perfect. remember you arent drawing to make pretty pictures, you are drawing to learn how to draw. make mistakes, make lots of mistakes and be critical of yourself. does this look right? what could i have done better?

its jus straight up blue color pencil. its industry standard to use blue lead as roughs then line over them in ink/pencil whatever. honestly i dont even use blue pencil anymore. i jus happened to have a lot of blue pencils lying around and i've gotten used to tuning blue out when i look at art.
i've had a lot of people ask me about what i use in terms of how i do my lineart and i guess ill answer it here.
blue color pencil roughs to work out forms and "make it look 3d".
normal pencil over the blue roughs.
i never "ink" my work in the sense that i usually dont use a pen and/or ink in any way.
hope that helps!

it doesnt matter. i make a million mistakes all the time. the blue lines are scribbles that help me see the form (that is, the "3D-ness" of what im drawing). when i kinda get a rough idea whats going on, i go in with pencil and pick out only the lines that make sense and/or are most helpful in showing form. when you see a piece that ive gone over in regular pencil you dont see the million wrong blue lines that i make, only the clean pencil lines.

you wouldnt erase it at all. if you make a mistake, jus draw the correct line right beside the "wrong" line. of course, there is no such thing as a "wrong" line when it comes to roughing things out. then when you come in with your pencil, you draw what you first laid down in blue.

Hey, saw ur A.D.I.D.A.S piece and totally fell in love with..well..the sneakers, beaing a sneakerhead myself. I was wondering if I could use em for refference for a lil drawing I'm making, the proportions and angles are kinda what I had in mind. If yes, could I have a bigger res of it? Thanks!

Don't worry, I'll use it like this. I wanted to make a different adidas shoe in that angle/style and it helps to have one to look at. I'll work on it in the following days, have been a bit busy Thanks for replying and being so helpful tho!
