Phillip Rhoades has several websites which he runs in his spare time, is an amateur photographer, blogger, puppeteer, poet, philosopher, and dreamer.

Phillip Rhoades was born July 21, 1979 in the town of Kalamazoo, MI. His birthday is shared with Alexander the Great, and is the anniversary of the day Herostratus set the Temple of Artemis (one of the seven wonders of the world) on fire. He is a jack of trades with an ever expanding circle of interests.

You're very welcome. The visual balance and lighting are very well done. Do you use the timer on your camera? Do you find it hard to get people understand that you can model and set up the shot? I know I've run into a lot of people who can't get past the idea that I can imagine where I'll be in a shot, set up the camera, start the timer, and run to my mark. :) (Smile)

I use the timer on my camera for the self-portraits, but sometimes it's a stroke of luck with lighting or placement. Since this camera is still kinda new to me, I placed it first, looked through the viewfinder to figure out where I should be, set the timer and then went. I could definitely benefit from a remote control timer but I'm fine with what I've got right now.

I use the MagicLantern firmware on my Canon T2i which has a nice audio-triggered-shutter option which can be combined with the timer function. So I can get in place, clap my hands or shout something and then get a shot in.
