Were the figure drawings for a class or just on your own?

Figure drawings were for both actually! I did take a class in which some of those were drawn but I also try to make it out to life drawing sessions in my spare time, as it's wicked helpful. Haven't been able to recently due to lack of funds unfortunately, but I just got a new job so i'll be back at it in no time. It's really exciting stuff to me

Well from your profile it says you're too busy to get practice, but I can guarantee that if you just fit at least 20 minutes a day and stick to it you'll improve a bunch! Just 20 minutes, that's all it takes

at this point its ether 20 minutes of drawing at 2 in the morning, or 20 minutes of extra sleep. I love drawing, and when by chance I do have free time I do draw, and now most of the time get frustrated. Hopefully this summer I'll be able to get some more time to draw.

In order to create good art you need to fully understand it! Study is great. Anatomical studies, perspective studies, posing studies, whether by yourself or with a book or teacher

Do you study math? how good are you at math?( just a randome question..) And I study from looking at a picture, it actualy helps me more than words.

haha, i'm not overly great at math. Also, the appeal books have to me is that not everything is explained in the pictures. Composing Pictures by Donald Graham is actually a great example of this. He'd give you a picture and tell you all the hidden elements going on behind that picture that you wouldn't even think were there! The way the picture drags your eyes through the piece in a specific way, making sure that you notice one element before another. Studying from pictures and step-by-steps can be helpful, but there's always so much more knowledge going on that you would never even think of behind the skill, and that comes from reading and drawing

wow! your passionet aboute studing art! maby you should be an art teacher! and I wach videos too, so I cach some tipsfrom them. A book, for me, never works. I love fiction books, they help me create a picture in my head. But a picture is worth a million, thousand, hundred words. for me. But it's good to hear that there are people that know aboute art so passionetly.

Haha, you should definitely check out those Loomis books i sent you. You can get a pretty good understanding just from his pictures, and the way he explains it is also very interesting! Most books i read are extremely boring tbh, but Loomis always entertains me. It almost feels as if he's talking directly to me!

still technically a form of art.
I recommend studying some anatomy, structure, and doing some figure drawing to really understand what's going on behind all the things you're drawing. It would definitely help any artist!
