There is a legend about a bird which sings just once in its life, more sweetly than any other creature on the face of the earth. From the moment it leaves the nest it searches for a thorn tree, and does not rest until it has found one. Then, singing among the savage branches, it impales itself upon the longest, sharpest spine. And, dying, it rises above its own agony to outcarol the lark and the nightingale. One superlative song, existence the price. But the whole world stills to listen, and God in His heaven smiles. For the best is only bought at the cost of great pain… Or so says the legend

From the first half sentence on this catches me in a mysterious way just as your drawings do and makes me think about it at a deeper level. It conveys hardly explainable feelings.
It seems that according to the legend the bird achieved its purpose and there is nothing more satisfying than achieving ones purpose.

I just skipped through your work. Your art reminds me of the manga artist Inio Asano. Not the style you draw characters but the atmosphere and details. Do you know him? If not I wonder where else you get your inspiration from or is it a certain art style?

I really like inio asano's art style, he is one of my favourite artist beside obata takeshi, kishimoto and togashi

I like Asanos art style, too. Especially pieces of you like "Glance of yin" and "Death" remind me of him. They deliver this cold yet emotional feeling. All of your drawings also have this style of drawing the background that reminds me of him because in this way the same atmosphere is created as I think. It is also amazing how you do all of this just with pencils!
I also like these artists, especially Obata. And you mean Togashi Yoshihiro? Oh, yes! I am really excited about Hunter x Hunter. His art style is very simple yet expressive but I like the story and the fightings the most.
Mangaka I also like very much are Kubo Tite and Asada Hiroyuki who is probably not so popular.
