While looking through your gallery, I couldn't help but have my mouth hanging open. The fractals it contains are amazing and I found that I could not leave comments on those I faved. Why? I was truly at a loss for words with each one. Your work is both mesmerising and nothing short of awe-inspiring.
I believe the website you have on your DA page had a tutorial at some time. It was that tutorial which inspired me to take up fractals; in the past I had experimented with them, but never really achieved much. Even to this day I haven't really achieved much, I will admit, but to see what is possible is certainly motivating.
It may sound cheesy and cliche, but I enjoyed going through your gallery and it was an honour. Thank you for sharing your work and I hope you will continue sharing in the time to come.

All your kind words have really made my night. Thanks so much for letting me know how much you enjoyed my fractals.
My basic tutorial was written back in 2003. At that time there were hardly any tutorials on Apophysis and that's what prompted me to write a "hold your hand" type explanation. It was on my website www.arcanefractals.com and was very popular. Most unfortunately I recently had a major problem with the hosting of my site after another company took over. I closed the account down thinking I would just upload all my files that included my galleries and tutorials to my new host. That's when I discovered the files were not on my computer. Somehow, two months previously when I got my new computer they never transfered over and my offsite backup didn't have the files either. Unbelievable!!! Anyway I will get the site back on line with the tutorial as soon as possible. Being the eternal optimist I'm telling myself it needed an update anyway. Thank goodness for the waybackmachine.org
Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to write your message. It was greatly appreciated.

Hi solidblu,
I have a website that has a basic "hold your hand" tutorial for Apophysis and also a list of resources where you can go to really get your teeth into that programme. [link] Apophyis is the programme (free) that I use to make my fractals.
There are also other fractal programmes that make different styles of fractals. Off the top of my head there is Ultrafractal, Fractal Explorer at [link] Xenodream, just to name a few.
