# Interests
Favorite movies: Third Star, UP, LOTR Trilogy, Mr Jolly Lives Next Door (technically TV but it's film length so what the hell!)Favorite TV shows: Sherlock (BBC and Granada versions), The Young Ones, Black Books, The New Statesman, Red Dwarf,
Favorite bands / musical artists: Placebo, Coheed and Cambria, Muse, Savage Garden, P!nk, U2, Span, The Prodigy, The Cure, Lacuna Coil
Favorite books: Anything by Neil Gaiman, recently read Susan kay's 'Phantom' (definitely worth a second read) I read a lot of reference books so it seems odd to list them here
Favorite writers: See Above
Favorite games: Portal, Tomb Raider, TimeSplitters, Anything Bethesda makes. And of course there is my World of Warcrack addiction...
Favorite gaming platform: 360/ps3/PC
Tools of the Trade: ink, pencils, letraset toner, promarkers, *lots* of paper (rain forests forgive me.)
Other Interests: Playing violin at ungodly hours, writing, acting, singing (in private... in the dark... where I think no one can see or hear me), musical theatre (on a massive Phantom of the Opera kick after seeing it recently)
# About me
Favourite style of art: comic book style artwork/concept artUses both Traditional Media and digital artwork created on a 'borrowed' wacom tablet and a free, open-source painting programme.
I don't claim brilliance (or anatomical correctness.) But all this artwork *is* mine; so ask me if you want to post it elsewhere (or at the very least give credit.)
Mainly into creature creation with a smattering of people. Those close to me are convinced I don't actually sleep. Others are of the mind I'm an automaton sent to kill them. (Which is weird because I haven't mentioned the uprising at all.)
Writer, actor (film and voice), artist. I thought I'd grow out of all that... I haven't.
A part of me wants to think my 'angst' is an attractive quality... then the other part of me picks itself up off the floor and wipes the tears of laughter away and tells me to get a grip and stop being so full of myself.
Crazy social recluse... possibly not human... tests are ongoing.

I like your stuff, these are some great drawings.
From what I can see you're doing better than Erik - your face looks infinitely better. Not a female version of Phantom of the Opera after all ...

Thank you BTW, I was not expecting to get any comments or favs on my first evening. It has truly made my night.

You are very welcome. I only had time for a cursory glance yesternight, so here's the fav I forgot. And it's well earned, I might add.

Oh yeah, they don't come cheap, I've heard. I'm sure you can save on the furniture though, these super-villainy hideouts always look their best if they're kinda ... utilitarian.

Well I suppose there is always Ikea if I want cheap furniture... might be hard for the delivery van to find the address though...

You will be my 'go to person' for anything you can hide behind a trapdoor, bookcase, mirror or under a mountain.

Well, I see myself studying architectural literature books on how to hide things. I need to immerse myself in the art of mimicry, the mastery of hiding, the knack of camouflage. Oh, the things I'm going to accomplish ...

You should run evening classes on those subjects, you'd make a small fortune.

And earn money to make a secret lair possible. I like the way you think!

I can see why delivery might be a tad ... difficult. How about turning Ikea's storage facility into your hideout? It's not underground and you need to be careful with your candles but it might just put you on the right track.

Might work out cheaper... and it's the last place anyone would look for me. Hmmm *strokes invisible goatee*

Not very long, a couple of months after a 15 year hiatus after being taught as a child.

ooh that must invigorating, approaching the instrument again like that after so long. I've experience something like that, but not on the scale as yourself. Do you play any other instruments? Ever thought about recording music or posting videos of you playing?

I have tried other instruments but not really picked up on them in quite the same way. More than anything I feel like a more solid grounding in music theory wouldn't go amiss with me, I am not up to standard for public performance. I have sung in public in the past but I always feel so twee saying 'my voice is my instrument.'

Were your fingers sore, playing the violin for the first time after so long? Are you playing classical pieces or more contemporary material?
Yeah I can understand saying "my voice is my instrument" can feel that way, when it's a common thing for vocalists to say, but nothing wrong with it when it's true.

Fingers were sore for about a. Fortnight but they toughened up again pretty quickly. (Thankfully, otherwise the E string would be the death of my fingers.)
