For the amount of hours my last one took + cost of supplies it should have been over $300. The price was lowered by quite a bit.
And the last 10% may very well be interested. There are always buyers for everything regardless of price. Look at dollfies.

Just wondering, how do you make your plushie patterns? I'm so confused...but I'd like to give it a whirl once.

Trial and error. For example the recent one I'm working on took 4 mock ups (making the doll in a smaller size) and various edits to each before I was happy with it. One of the very first patterns I've ever made must have taken at least 10.

I know how that goes. I'm Canadian selling on an american site. However paypal should be able to change currencies automatically. I'm hoping to switch to another payment service soon but until then it works well enough.

According to google its 23.37 UK£.
To take good pictures just get lots of natural sunlight in there. And hold the camera really still or better yet, support it while taking photos. Also, take at least 20 from different angles. Lastly, put it in macro mode. Its usually displayed as a little tulip icon. I hope that helps a little.
