i. Jude wasn't too familiar with Derry just yet considering she just moved in yesterday with her grandparents but everything seemed fairly nice.
ii. Once she managed to unpack everything into her room she was finally able to leave and explore.
iii. She didn't mind the fact it was raining outside, in reality she loved playing in rain puddles, it wasn't hard to notice how childish she really was.

(i.) why does it always seem to rain when one has plans? clarke watson groans as she exits the pharmacy, a bag of goodies in one hand, her mom's list crumpled in her jacket pocket. the brunette pulls her hood over her head, brown eyes adverted to the ground. she wanted to get home as soon as possible, she didn't need to stand out in the rain. 

(ii.) yet plans often get changed. the young teen's attention is grabbed by a pink haired girl splashing through puddles. she arches her brows as she passed by, a soft smile on her lips.
"you trying to get a shower out here or what?"

i. the pink haired girl stopped almost immediately as clarke started talking to her, but she smiled softly revealing her braces.
ii. she didn't think she'd be able to see any kids outside especially on a day like this one, but she was definitely grateful and maybe she'd even gain a friend on this gloomy day.

i. jude took a moment to jump a little in the puddle she was in while smiling and looking at clarke, she was definitely a giddy young girl.
ii. she stopped for awhile as she simply started rocking back and forth on her heels while looking at the other girl.

iii. she asked with an enthusiastic tone as her smile grew, jude had completely forgotten about her little insecurities of braces showing each time she smiled, that's how much of a good mood she was in right now

i read the book and thought that it touched on the main points well. I did feel like they tried to put a lot into this one, since they didn't mention the ritual of chud or where IT came from in the first chapter

[Ooc] Same! My only wish would be that they had kept the ritual more similar to how it was in the novel it was really over simplified for the movie. But I suppose it makes sense, to do the entire mental battle sequence would have taken a LOT of screen time. And I still got high quality loser and penny content so I'm happy haha

(i.) derry wasn't exactly the most relaxed small town. her mom said that this would be a fresh start, a quaint, quiet place to rebuild. but clarke watson had the feeling that this town wasn't what it seemed. the missing kid posters, the curfew...the feeling of being watched. it wasn't as bad during the day, the light appeared to mask out those dark thoughts, the dark feelings. clarke found it best to hang out during the day.

(ii.) the young teenager had decided that today would be a good day to get some photography practice in. it was a pretty normal day, for derry, until a pig suddenly whizzed past her. clarke arches a brow, a curious smile crossing her lips. that was until thundering shouts broke the girl's attention, causing her to fall back into the grass, narrowly missing the girl on the bike. 
"holy shit!!"
"geez, man!"
