Hey, I'm going to be re-painting my tau and I need to decide on a paint scheme. I want them to have a desert/hardened vetrens look. It doesn't have to be really original or anything and may end up similar to the Tau sect colour scheme, but I was wondering if you had any ideas or knew any websites I could use to help me.
Here's what I'm thinking at the moment...
Skull White - Base
Desert yellow - Cloth
Snakebite Leather - Armour
Bleached Bone - highlights
Whad'ya reckon?

yeah that sounds good, what techniques are you gonna use?
dry brush then go in with a fine brush?
and will you blend the highlights in with the armor?
id recomend using a yellow ink wash after the initial painting is done,
and what of the lenses? red?

yeah aye man, go with the ethreal. the squad you attack em to would greatly increase there ability to figh (+1 BS and there fearless!) and you army would (if in line of sight) would get to reroll failed(or passed) moral checks.
and good idea on the ground commander i had made one as well but never use it.
