hey, don't be sad about it! I'm sure you would have some more luck if instead of just sending people that link without explanation, you said something along the lines of "hey, I have this group (insert group name here) which I'm trying really hard to make a supergroup! I don't have enough points yet, so if you could make a small donation it would make my day! thanks for your time."
you could also try doing commissions or adoptables to raise some points, or do incentives for donating like "a free picture and a llama badge to anyone who donates!"
