Hi, Patrick
Thanks for your comment and I hope you come back for future posts. I tend to do abstract graphics when the weather's bad. Otherwise, I do solar imaging.

Hi Lou
I have shown your page here to David the founder of the InfraRed Club here infrared-club.deviantart.com/ & we are happy for you to join our group & place some Solar images in the scientific folder, as they are extra-visible images. David, okavanga.deviantart.com/ is also a big fan of Fractal Art.
Cheers

Hi Colin
Thanks for the invitation.
Is there some way that any solar images I post to the regular location on Deviant Art also would appear in the infrared scientific folder.
I'm just hesitating having to access another posting location as I already post to 2 websites.

Hi Lou
If you join IR Club you can submit them there too when you up-load to your page & they will be seen by this group. Or with Filip greatattractor.deviantart.com/ , you may get a Solar & / or Astro group started ?
Cheers

Hi Colin
It's a small world, isn't it. I'm also on Solarchat, of course.
Infrared: I had a Nikon D1 SLR that was idle for a half dozen years until I had it converted for infrared by LifePixel in the US. I did some infrared with it for a while until solar and fractals took me over completely.
I still enjoy viewing infrared imagery and remember doing that back in the days of Kodak Infrared Extachrome and High speed IR B/W film.

Gio, what program do you use to create such fantastic fractals?

Hi, RHuggs. Thanks for viewing and your comment. Here's the info you asked about:
Here's a list of software that I use:
Mandelbulb 3d (very generous freeware)
TopMod (freeware, but somewhat bug ridden)
KnotPlot (once free)
White series done in Fractal Explorer 2.02 (freeware)
Kleinians done in Ultrafractal (not free)
Hope that helps.

He mostly mentions the application(s) he used in the artist comment of a deviation.
