I'm a professional graphic designer with an interest in moving into pre-production art and design for the entertainment industry. As part of that goal I've been working on a Dune-themed RTS game team - Dune: War of the Spice - as their concept artist and Art Director.We're always on the lookout for other talented artists with a passion for Frank Herbert's classic novel to join us in our endeavor.

Thanks, man. I'm concentrating on the Harks to start with so so the modelers and animators can put together one complete playable faction for demo purposes. I'll be moving onto the other factions once I'm done with this phase, got lots of ideas for them too and we're always looking to add more concept artists to spread the design load.

I came to the franchise though the novels first so I prefer the miniseries adaptations, since they are more faithful to the original material. Children of Dune was also beautifully filmed. I can't help but be influenced by the visual design of David lynch's film, though. His production designer produced some undeniably brilliant and iconic work.

Glad to hear it, we think you style would be great for the game too. We've tried out some previous composers and found they had trouble committing consistently to the project or just didn't "get" the source material or the flavor we were going for.

This is mostly a formality since I've already sent them some links to some clips of your music (this was the one that got the most favorable reaction: [link] ) so just include some more links and a short message for the team to check out and I think you'd be a shoe-in.

School resumed for this last term, but that doesn't seem to mean that they'll be going easy on the workload. They've been piling on work so that we can get it done before/over the summer, I suppose. But I'll still have plenty of time to work on music. I always make time for music~

Very glad you applied, I think the other guys will be impressed. You have a very strong grasp of composition and atmosphere that's a lot more appropriate to game music than other candidates we've looked at.

I'm doing a music A-level at my Sixth Form, but it's the first formal music course I've ever done.
I'm planning to do a Music Production degree at university, though, and the place I have in mind has the most fantastic studios. That course would really help me get to grips with modern studio equipment, so then I'll have covered both the creative and the technical side of it

Love the Dune art, such a fan of the film, and i tend to listen to the soundtrack daily.. the track '14 - The Dukes Death' sends shivers down my spine and get my art juices flowing.

Thanks man! Part of the reason your stuff caught my eye is that I was looking about on DA for reference material and inspiration that I could share with the team working on the Dune project.
I had stumbled across your model of the green guy with the shiny black clothes and crazy collar. Everybody loves it and we think that a look like this would be perfect for one of the factions we're developing, so you may have just helped to inspire the styling for 1/3 of our game.
