Born in Topeka, Kansas I currently reside in New Jersey. I have always been interested in all things creative beginning with illustration and am currently spending most of my time on model kits, a passion from my younger days that I have recently re-visited. Not too bad. Anyway we went to Red Bank to see your stuff on display at the stash! Mikey met Mike and Walter, talked kaiju stuff with Walt while I pressed Mike for info on where everyone went to high school. We are pretty close in age so our crowds would mingle sometimes. I’d met them before, dropping convention flyers there, but it was Mikey’s first time. Then I brought him over to Hobbymasters where I used to buy model cars and rockets as a kid!

Glad you guys made it to the Stash, I know it was something Mikey wanted to do. I'm sure He and Walt had an interesting conversation. As to my Godzilla I had on display there, He's back home in his previous position in the display case. Gave it a year, but there were no takers. Actually, I'm kind'a glad it didn't sell, it's one of my favorite 62's. Also glad you got to go to Hobbymasters as I'm afraid they're not going to be around for much longer. I'm sure you noticed the lack of stock, especially model kits, compared to the bounty they used to have. In fact, last time I was there, I needed an assistant to open up the upstairs to get at said kits. Hope I'm wrong as there have been too many old school hobby shops close up lately...

I don't know when I will make it back to Jerseyfest, but I will plan to make it to G-Fest and Wonderfest next year! Maybe I will shoot for Jerseyfest in the next few years. What year is this one? Wonderfest will be the 30th one in 2019, G-Fest just had their 25th.

Actually, I believe this will be their 6th "official" show. The first one open to the public was in 2112 and was only 15 minutes from my apartment! In fact, it was at that show that KaijuModeller had the Atelier articulated Anguirus '68 kit. I asked him if he would be interested in trading for a Kaiju Freaks Mothra Larva with Tokyo Tower model and he said he would depending on the condition of the kit. I was able to run home, pick up the kit, and get back in less than half an hour! It was nice to have that option. And yes, I did get the Anguirus(yay)...

Well, I certainly understand the drive part, I know it seemed to take me forever to get to G-Fest. And, if I'm being honest, if it weren't for friends who always go, I probably wouldn't make it to half of the conventions I go to. I do REALLY need to take the plunge and check out Wonderfest, though, the pics I've seen of the kits on display look AMAZING! Maybe if I could finish a project that I felt was worthy of putting on display in such a venue, that would give me the incentive to do so...

It's actually based on the big Paradise kit(like they did with the '54). It's a lot of fun and I'm happy to add it to my collection. As far as posting pics, I think that will depend on whether or not I decide to super detail it...
