dont you remember ho the most infamous Jack in Londons history? It was Jack the ripper. In most cultures it is considered bad luck to name your children with a name that is linked to a notorious killer. Even over here people now dont name their children Jeffery and a few other names because of their associations with past killers, Also we have a lot of kis who get teased in school even more if they have a name that can be used in a way to make fun of the kids. like take the names Peter an Dick, Or even megan because of the names they can be turned into

Recent killers, maybe, but Jack the ripper is from about 150 years ago, when names like Jack were verry common. And names from that same time period have become popular over here. Jack is a verry common name. I've met alot of younger kids called Jack, although admitedly not many people my own age. We dont hold assosiacion with people from that long ago. No one over here has assosiated it with the Ripper so far.
