Current Residence: Minnesota1I am a writer and artists primarily working in porcelain clay these days. I don't do much painting anymore. I primarily sculpt and carve horses, masks, and various scenes in mid to low relief. I have always loved horses and they have always been subjects in my art. I am open for commissions on some similar porcelain work.

Thanks for the favorite! Btw, I looooove your horse vases! Did you push them out from the inside or lay extra clay over the vase and carve? Or both?

I tend to throw pots on the heavy side (thick walls), so I typically carve right onto the vase surface with some loop tools (wire basically now). If I make a mistake I add fresh clay and slip onto the pot while carving. Usually I outline the design first with a small tool then dig into them (They have to be leather hard). After a piece is carved it's nice and light, but it's taken a lot of practice!
