No, none personally, but I do have a couple that a friend took -- they're only dodgy facebook quality though.
Why? Aren't there any on Google?

That's okay. I was just wondering. The ones on google aren't that good, but my sose assignment is about coastal management.

Though it doesn't matter. I'm working on my own picutres.

Hey, wow, I didn't know you were still alive!

It was very hot... we had a week where it was over 40... so bad >.>
But I don't think Melbourne was any better... and especially Victoria >.>

I am a bit bored now though. Waiting for Uni to start, and waiting to hear about news for my exchange!

What about you? Done any photography? Enjoying Uni? Got a girlfriend?

Heyyy! It's uh, jenni---. HAHAHA. Looks funny now that I type it out. Anyways, even though I know I haven't been active recently, is the forum gone?? O.o I went on today and it was...uh, gone. Yupp. (: Just wonderinggg.

And! What's up?? Been awhile.. D:

Hey Jen!

The forum is still there -- for me at least. [link]
But it's not very active these days... never dead though.

Hmm, nothing much happening lately. Holidays are still going (so long!) and I'm helping my parents a bit for work. Also waiting patiently to hear about my exchange... >.>
What about you?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hydexmyv In reply to grillface [2009-02-12 08:50:30 +0000 UTC]

Exchange? As in studying abroad? I was planning on studying abroad in Australia!! Yeah, it's not going to work out since my parents are pretty against me going anywhere over 100 miles from home. Or 100 kilometers...however way you want to look at it hahahahaha.

So you have summer vacation now? It's winter here. And it's freezing. We had a month long break, but we're back in school for another month and a half or so. (: Ugh I hate stress. When do you guys go back?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grillface In reply to hydexmyv [2009-02-12 23:32:53 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I'm going to Japan later this year.

Awww... you should come here! Tell them that it's like America (it's actually not *that* similar, but whatever helps ).

I go back at the beginning of March. And The break has been since the end of November... so very long. And it's been very hot... it got to over 40C (104F?) for like a week, and even to 45 (113F?) one day
Now it's about 25 though, with the nights at 16 or so, and I'm wearing a jumper

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hydexmyv In reply to grillface [2009-02-17 01:41:28 +0000 UTC]

Dang! So hot?! It's freezing here. ): Not to the point of snowing, but very cold nonetheless. I must admit that I enjoy the cold weather much more than I do hot weather. I hate to sweat.

Wow! Congrats on going to Japan! My friend is going, too! I really need to get away from here to experience REALLY being independent. I have no independence whatsoever hahahaha!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grillface In reply to hydexmyv [2009-02-17 03:43:28 +0000 UTC]

But aren't you living away from home?
You should! Come to Australia~~~~

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hydexmyv In reply to grillface [2009-02-17 05:28:30 +0000 UTC]

But I still go home every week. It's already a lot more dependent that those who leave and visit home once every couple of months hahaha.

Ahhhh Australia sounds funnn!! Maybe after I have a better grasp of what it is I want to do in life...then I can lay back and have fun in a foreign country.

Ahh, I see. Fair enough! You are in California, right? Or am I way off?

And yeah, I think everyone at our age is struggling to find out what we can do for the rest of our lives... I know I am.... >.<

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hydexmyv In reply to grillface [2009-02-20 09:15:48 +0000 UTC]

Yes, I am!! Land of no snow. (:

Yeahh, I'm getting more involved in school activities to try and find out what it is I want to do. I hate not knowing, so I'm being extremely bothered hahahaha. My grades aren't exactly up to par, so I'm not sure I can even major in anything specific this next year. Oh! What's your major again? (I don't know what it's called outside of the states, but you know what I mean. I think...Hahahahaha!)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grillface In reply to hydexmyv [2009-02-20 09:51:56 +0000 UTC]

Yep, it's called major here as well! As I am doing a double degree, I have two majors -- at this stage, Japanese and Geology. Could have done Chemistry, but ehhh...
What's yours again? Is it Biology?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hydexmyv In reply to grillface [2009-02-20 20:26:58 +0000 UTC]

...geology?! HAHA The first profession that came to my mind was "archaeologist", but then geology has to do with...land and such, right? HAHA elaborate, please?

You're crazy double majoring though. D: But yeah, I'm a bio major...it's just that it's such a competitive major that I don't have the chance to double major in anything. I would take Japanese, but I hear the course is extremely hard. T-T I will have to rely on random phrases that I pick up watching dramas LOL! Going to Japan is a really good move then! Sure you won't be homesick? I don't think I'll be studying abroad anytime soon as tuition is going up and I won't be able to afford the credits AND other expenses. Maybe in a year or two. I have a lot going on right now, too. I'm planning on joining a co-ed frat! Hahahaha. Random, but just throwing it out there.

P.S. I hate chem right now. Organic chem to be specific. Ugh. Doesn't even feel like chemistry anymore.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grillface In reply to hydexmyv [2009-02-22 06:24:44 +0000 UTC]

Geology... rocks, minerals and the earth (earthquakes, etc.)
In Australia, and in particularly SA, it's minerals (iron) and resources (geothermal, oil, gas...).
Do I want to do this? No idea haha. But I'll just see how it goes.

And a double-degree isn't that bad... it's only one year extra than a single degree, and you don't have to overload or anything.
Ganbatte! Keep up with the Japanese ^_^

Homesick... well, we'll just have to see... my mum said she would come and visit me though.

Co-ed frat... what's a frat? Is it a dorm?

And finally... yes, organic chem. Isn't that the main part of chem that is relevant to Bio? haha. But yes, things like stereoisomers and how different reactions occur and everything can be annoying.

hydexmyv In reply to grillface [2009-02-22 07:06:19 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha That's what I somewhat assumed, but I didn't want to assume and make an ass out of myself. Hahaha!

Ahh, so that's how a double-degree works? Here, it's literally attacking two majors head on and it seems to be quite the pain. Twice the number of exams, twice the workload, etc. I think I'm good with where I am. ^^

Aww! Your mom could have vacation at the same time! Hahaha. That's too cute. My mom might move in with me O_O. Hahahaha. She already makes sure she talks to me at least once a day and I'm 40 minutes from home. She once drove all the way to check up on me because my phone was on silent and I didn't pick up. (BTW I think it's so adorable that you guys call your mothers "mum". "MOM" sounds so barbaric, but I'd feel weird all of a sudden referring to her as "mum" HAHAHA)

A fraternity? I thought they were international or something (the one I'm planning on joining supposedly is HAHA?) Umm, it's basically a formal organization. Frats are usually referred to as...brotherhoods? Hahaha but the one I'm checking out is co-ed, so...brother and sisterhood? HAHA I have no idea. There are sororities as well, which are girls only, but I have no interest in those... I'm only thinking of joining because this specific one is pre-medical and I'm hoping to get more guidance out of this experience (IF I make it into the organization). This is something I know I should've done a very long time ago, but hey, better late than never!

grillface In reply to hydexmyv [2009-02-23 06:14:03 +0000 UTC]

Twice the workload? Yikes!

Haha, yeah, and my sister really wants to go as well. She loves all the Ghibli stuff
Mom sounds strange to me. Then again... so does mum a little. I use 'mamma', because we are Italian.

Ahh, fraternities... they aren't very big here at all. Are the Freemasons a fraternity? I think I have heard of 'sororitiy' and 'fraternity' before, but yeah, sounds like an American thing... sort of like a club?

Anyway, I hope it all goes well!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hydexmyv In reply to grillface [2009-02-24 23:56:54 +0000 UTC]

Whoa! Italian? That's awesome! Have you been to Italy? (JUST KIDDING! I just remembered you talking about it before. HAHAHA. Jkjkjk.) I was thinking of studying abroad over there this summer, but financial issues are kind of preventing me. We'll see, we'll see.

Awww Your whole family could go on a trip!! My friend went to Korea and her mom went along with her! Hahahahaha. All this studying abroad talk makes me want to go even more! It's like everyone around me is going except me. ):

Yeahhh frats are kind of like clubs. There are some really extreme ones in which initiation is...crazy stuff. I don't want to go through all that, so I'm thinking of joining the chillest one! (I'm sure if you look up hazing, you'll find some crazy things that pledges have to go through.)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

grillface In reply to hydexmyv [2009-02-25 07:50:25 +0000 UTC]

Haha. Yeah, we have been on trips... interesting... but as I get older, it's harder to stay with only the family for that long...

Anyway, good luck with your initiation! I hope it's not too bad

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hydexmyv In reply to grillface [2009-02-25 10:28:06 +0000 UTC]

Ahh I guess I know what you mean. I feel like I can't meet anyone properly with my family there. It's such a shallow thought and though I know this is most likely not what you mean (probably more in terms of independence?), Hahahaha I'm just thinking of opportunity costs and I feel like I've been losing a lot. Though traveling with my parents is pretty nice; I don't have to dish anything out from my own pockets!

And thanks! I hope so, too.
