I don't mind the whole Multiverse plot thing its a nice break from the whole everything is has to be dark storytelling. Plus John Walker balances it out with his assholeness with Bucky commenting on stupidity. So its all good.

Well after that war between HYDRA and AIM ep. that ending seemed like foreshadow for a second season also if you look closely as he survived you can see that he lost his arm.
