Hi Jared, it's Leanne from Test Valley...you might not remember me. Anyway Alex told me you are doing art foundation, i never even knew you were into art. I'm doing my foundation at The Arts University in Bournemouth, where are you doing yours?

Bournemouth is good thank you, just went on to the illustration pathway, which pathway did you take? (Have you even chosen yet? I'm not entirely sure how similar our foundations are because there are apparently different levels, confusing)

Yeah graphics and photography are probably the two ones i'm hoping to do at a uni (possibly as a joint course) - pathway? - i think as you said there's different foundations for some reason because i've never heard of that before lol. My ones litterally looking at everything in art and then we pick and focus on are favourite areas later on in the year. It's an ok course and its helped me get my interests back into art (i spent two years at queen marys collage and it was a bore). Its really strange when i think most of my mates are at uni now (including alex zp) -> i miss the days when we were at school strangely. Maybe when your in your hols or something we could meet up or something - i'll like that lol

Oh, pathway is like a focus area i guess, except we have already picked ours. We basically spent up to now doing our elements sketchbooks (week on photography, fine art, graphics, illustration/animation, fashion and film) plus a self initiated project. We get a lot of work, it's actually insane =/
So now I'm onto just illustration projects, yay! Symonds sucked after a while too actually, i got fed up with all the stupid jack wills/abercrombie snobs.

You know that structures exactly like what we just had actually - i just had a week on graphics, textiles/fashion, 3d and fine art. Now we're picking a major art type we like and a minor one. I've picked illustration/photography (naturally) and 3d. We have to do a project on each or something - yeah theres quite alot of work but its a peice of cake compared to queen marys lol.
Yeah i picked up the snobbiness of symonds when i visited it - thats why i didn't go there. Shows i made the right decision doesn't it lol. Shame all my mates went there really but it can't be helped..

Oh yeah, i forgot we did 3D...that shows how much i was interested in it.
Symonds was awesome teachers and courses wise (i was dead pleased with my results at the end)and the art department was amazing, but some of the people were a bit crap.

lol yeah same - some of the teachers at qmc were just picking at me for no reasons at all - i mean this graphics woman separated me from my mates because i was talking - and that meant me by myself for a couple of months! - i was ready to leave the course but then i got really good so she started leaving me alone then - what a bitch
