Thanks so much for all your comments! Like most things I devote time to, I like to keep things eclectic. I think it's important to broaden your experiences but I seem to get drawn to trying different concepts/styles/perceptions anyway.

I mainly shoot nudes, but on here I only post stuff I want, it gives me a chance to experiment. I think trying different style and concepts can only help ones art.

Yes that makes sense. I'm doing a Fine Art degree, so obviously I spend a lot of time thinking about anything and everything art related, but painting and photography are pretty much only amateur now (in the correct sense that they're purely out of passion), whereas my course practice has become orientated around video art.

I have two documentaries in pre production, one a bio of a heavy metal band and the other about cosplayers, and video art has always fascinated me.

Oh, that's really interesting. You'll have to link me when they're done please? I like metal, and have a large number of cosplaying friends. My 3 videos are up on facebook. As I'm self taught and have only been doing it since new year alongside other modules they're not as polished as they could be. Saying that, I do like the Powerlessness one. This next year I'll likely be doing a few more, with my own digital sound as well.

Of course! Though I don't seem to be down there very often. Having said that, Masters might just lead me there. I think I'm hoping to go Edinburgh atm to study an Art/Philosophy based course. I've never made it to a comic con, but I'm planning to take my uni society to the Preston one at the end of October.

It's one reason I love watching the Live Action Role-Play group do their Halloween bar crawl on campus. The first time there was a ghostbuster alongside Fem-Loki and a predator. Several of their members spend the whole year making the next costume.

I just had another look at your image. I wish I didn't feel so rushed these days. I just wanted to add why I think it's so brilliant. This simplicity of the image itself, and its ability to infer some autonomous figure is marvellous. I particularly like the texture - not only does it create depth and therefore provide 3D space for the figure to form, but to me it signifies time and age, something mysterious and almost legendary. The hint of light right in the centre is also another effective feature that elludes to some core power, some ethereal substance, or something more than physical presence.

Basically, it is very powerful. Thanks for sharing it. (:
