i'm happy to help
we can go on a photography escapade
but with landscape you've kinda gotta have the vision to see a potentially good photo then work around where you can get to to get the best photo...
with every shoot how many photos do you upload like for me it'd be between 1/50 or 1/75 ish kinda area

ah see my shoots it'd be about 15/200
with portrait I look especially for lines running through the shot, like in this one:
[link]
i like the way the banisters and wall detail extend from her down the stairs, it's symbolic.
other than that I just take a lot of images, playing around with angles and lighting to get the face to look how i want C:
i also like portrait because it's easier to really get into the style of another artist, that picture up there is in the style of Turbeville [link]
the similarities are there, they're a bit subtle though.
you should come to the art exhibition, my final exam piece is quite good
it has beer and fags on it and everything.

this a general reply comment to all of the comments on my sepia work so far
so you reckon i need to make it:
less pink
adjust levels/curves
contrast & so forth
i shall see what i can do...
would you care to explain how you do sepia through lighting effects?
thanking you muchly

I'd say don't worry about the one with the lake in terms of pinkness, because that one works, but yeas for the other three.
Go on Filter/Render/Lighting effects, change light type to omni (you can use others but i find that easiest). Click on the white squares to choose colouring for the lighting, you'd pick sepia ones obv. Then you can fuck around with ambience, so your pictures could be sepia and fade out of being sepia, and you can set the brightest bit of light on a certain area or expand the light to just cover it all. Just muck around with the settings and see what you end up with

these are two ways of doing it with different results, i personally prefer the more orange brown (ie left) but i could do it better than it is in that photo ¬_¬
and thank you for the guide

~ i think it'd work just 'cause you can do it so you keep some colour in it, it'd be interesting to see what it'd come out like, you might not like it, it's just my way.
