Did I say "that Nikon"? I skipped a part (must have been an imaginary bracket gone missing). I meant "that camera with the Nikon lens". Bench talk got me giddy.

Oh, that is so cool. Vintage Nikon? Now I am in such wonderment of this purportedly delightful camera. I can't help be be a little gleeful at the prospects of old picture taking gear. The excellence levels have gone up. I have added some finger tapping into the mix as I say excellent, as to help illustrate my barely controllable joy.

I do, however, get excellence deduction (or is it 'lenience credit'?) for being a photography dodo (who would, without hesitation, custom-build you a bench just to get you to sit down and teach her your wily click&shutter-proof ways 
I'll take some pics of the camera if & when I get it. (The post office is a harsh mistress.)

I rather enjoyed your abundance of parentheses, it brought extra flair and pizzazz to the whole piece in a way that would have otherwise been lacking.
You could build a bench, but I think there's plenty pre-built benches around that we could wrestle into occupation. There's shaded, non shaded, with a view, without a view, out in the middle of the world, or tucked away.
All my old cameras are broken, sadly. I used them until they could hardly hold themselves together any further. I dream, some, of owning a rangefinder camera.
The post office is taking to slow. That is okay though. I do find enjoyment in these bracket filled conversations we've put ourselves in. Though, upon reflection, I've failed to bracket anything at all. Next time, I promise.

As for benches, I am Charmed. Beguiled. Intrigued. Salivating, even. (Just to throw in a linguistic break from all the -eds. Life isn't all Ed. It can be Harry, Mike or even Bobo.) I can see us tumbling onto one (or over, more like) in Hulk-Hogany armlock, while the self-timer grins at us complacently and the soon-to-be-flattened hats duck for cover. Bring it!
Had I known then what I know now (ie that my life would be enriched by a parenthetically enlightened enthusiast with a penchant for breaking stuff), I would have held on to that Nikon back in the day. If only to send you on a scavenger hunt to find it. ("There's an awesome camera sitting in a box on a bench somewhere in this world. GO!")
Holding my breath for brackets - don't let me wait too long.
