you could always do paypal commissions too~

a lot of people here do points commissions as well (dA points) they can be converted to USD (not sure about other currencies) using a special widget (I think it's called the Commissions Widget) that basically turns the points into USD and sends it to your Paypal (takes 2 weeks for the conversion to go through iirc, I honestly have not tried this widget before but someone told me that's how it works.) I think the conversion rate is like 100 = $1USD

points themselves are used for Core membership (ad-free browsing, you can put more stuff on your page, etc... basically just fluff stuff), commissioning other artists and I think.... prints and stuff? not totally sure what else is available these days lol

not sure, I've never had any problems with Paypal and I've used it for years -- been both paid for commissions on Paypal and paid others with it, I think it is safe. it's like the go-to way to pay on ebay, too.

if you're concerned, you could always read up more recent news online about Paypal's security.

as for linking your paypal to your checking account, I can try to find a guide for that too. I signed  up so long ago I don't remember haha. iirc it was pretty simple though, you just need a check with your routing number. I can look into it more and try to help you find a FAQ if needed ^^
