Hey there, I've been a fan of your designs for a bit. In particular I love the mecha-whale line of figures. I have one of the large vinyl mecha-whales, and one of the 3D printed belugas from your sculpteo. I have attempted to purchase the others from your sculpteo shop as well, but there always seemed to be some error or so in the print that stopped it. I was just looking over that way though again looking to see if perhaps I could attempt to get them again, but if seems they aren't there anymore. Did you remove them? If so is there another way to potentially obtain them? The orca was one I loved. Either way though, I love your designs and hope you continue making cool stuff into the future!

Hello, I'd like to ask, did you create the Crawling Kraken? Because I came up with a similar character, and it bothers me. I called her "Crimson Squid."

man, i sure haven't stumbled upon you in a while. I see that you expanded your business into all kinds of stuff, which, i'd say, is awesome

Thank you. Yes the Mechawhales figures are my most popular figures. Personally though I like the Warsnail figures the most.

Β wonder if the mechawhales would be considered 'oldschool' by now
anyway, cheers and Merry Christmas, if its still ongoing x3

However you like. I use Acrylic paints from Games Workshop that are used for painting wargaming miniatures.

does the print have to be sanded before paint?

Depends on the printer. Wirh my current one I have to file down the areas where the support structures touched the model. Otherwise the surface is smooth so there is no need for sanding.

This is some truly amazing work! I'm reminded a lot of Matt Doughty's Glyos System series ( www.glyos.com ).Β

I just shared a link to your DA gallery in a popular Glyos group on Facebook. A few people recognized your Mechawhales. I'm hoping maybe a few more Glyos collectors will like your stuff too

Are all your figures made with a 3D printer?

hauke3000 In reply to WireMonkey [2015-12-26 11:42:58 +0000 UTC]
The articulated ones from recent years yes. Some older unarticulated ones were resin prototypes made in China.

A OK thanks. I'm asking because I'm making customs action figures and it would be easier for me if I could print them and then paint them. It is difficult to make the articulations work?

I guess that depends on how experienced you are at 3D modeling.
