Hi. I got your message and thought it would be more appropriate(considering the thread is no longer on the main pages) to respond here. I appologize for assuming that you were Christian. It was an assumption, and those tend to be bad. I am personally agnostic but very interested in religious studies. I actually have read up on Islam a bit, although I appreciate the link, as it informed me of several things I didn't know. Actually one of the things I was most impressed, and although I hate to say it surprised by, was the amount of women's rights found in the Koran(Quoran? That is one thing I was wondering. What is the correct spelling in English? I have seen several) Although I have not studied it as in depth as I would like, from what I have found there might actually be more than in the old or new testaments. Regardsless I would be very pleased to continue a discussion with you. And sorry once more for the long post.

You know a friend pointed me in the direction of a thread you started called "God" I have to tell you brother, that was awesome, I'm sure you know what would result, the negative comments, but you did it anyway. That makes me proud to call you my brother...your example is one so many should follow, you stood firm in your faith and continue to do so. That thread was read by many so many heard your words about your Father...awesome! The negativity is something God promised us, being a Christian is not going to be easy, being bold in your faith (as you my brother are) is going to get you hated, going to get you "flamed' but in the end the reward is yours! I'm glad that there are people out there who love those that are mean to them enough to tell them about God...you did what you KNEW was right in an effort to open someone's eyes, it may not have shown direct results, but brother it got people thinking, you planted seeds...now we continue to pray for thier salvation, for them to know the love that is our God!

It's good that you've got faith, but like I said in your thread about god, it's probably not a great idea to parade it around on DA. A lot of people here are extremely anti-religion for some reason or another, and starting a thread about religion here is practically the same as bringing the most violent people of every religious denomination into a battle-field and yelling as loud as you can "HOLY WAR!!!1" I can see you've got good intentions, but often in places like this, that sort of thing backfires.
Anyway, that's all I've got to say. I'm not trying to flame you, and sincerely hope you don't take this as an insult. Hope you have a great day.
