Backstory: Shilo is the son of Marie Lisle and Thomas Miller. Due to a previous falling out with their mother, Shilo's older half-brother, Clarence (Clare) Lisle, lives in France, while Shilo, Marie, and Thomas live in Virginia. Shilo was never a bright kid. He especially had trouble in reading, and he was constantly being picked on. One day, he got into a fight, and his parents shipped him off to boarding school, where he was eventually kicked out, because he was dared to streak around one of the dormitories. Which he did. Not sure what else to do, his father made the decision to send him off to France and live with his half-brother, in the hopes that their opposite personalities would rub off on one another. They never did.
However, while in France, Shilo met Bunby; the ghost who was assigned to Haunt Clare, and they became fast friends. Shilo has no plans to go back to America any time soon.

Luca had nearly had spaz attacks several times in the store buying Shilo's gifts, so he hoped that he enjoyed them. All of it was stuffed in a box, impeccably wrapped in plain white paper with a green ribbon tied around it. The tag on it simply read 'to Shilo Miller. from Luca Bugliosi.' For her son, she splurged a little bit on money because the gift she ran into reminded her so, so much of him somehow, that she had to get it. /Had to/. It was just one of those things you see and decide /I NEED TO GIVE THIS TO SOMEONE. It doesn't suit ME but SOMEONE is going to like it. <33333/ So yes; Shilo had himself a box waiting for him under the house tree, tagged simply with "to Shilo" and "from Rose".

Since Haruka lacked anything resembling a real life (aside from taking care of her kids and cleaning the house, derp) she had gone out one day a week or two ago to go shopping for her friends. For Shilo, she had found a HUGE cage for Mohammad and a stack of cards with kittens on them, all which read "I LOVE YOU."
She left the gifts in front of Shilo's room at the house and scribbled a quick note, which she taped to the cage:
