i believe that everyone has been through a good deal of bad, but as long as you have true friends you can stay sane through the long years. most of my friends are complicated, i see the good in people that piss of others, and i can get along with nearly anyone..... i enjoy comedy, to the point of obsession, most of it controversial. mine is squishy as well n.n

I agree totally. I've had a few good friends, and then a few bad ones. I do enjoy comedy too, but I'm more of an action-y person, despite my being a hopeless Romantic.

good thing i plan to shoot anything that walks on my property once it starts. XD just kidding, but that would be a pretty reasonable reaction.... and it would prolly work n.n
just think about it, you wouldn't have to worry about anything if you just killed everything that moved. no unaware infected to contaminate you.... clean everything you scavenge, and burn the rest. no worries at all......

Very true! Kill everything that comes within 30 feet of you, and you should be good to go. As long as you had a good base, maybe an abandoned prison? Like Alcatraz.. Lol. Or a military base would be ideal, I think.

yeah if you can get the stockpile to a prison that would seriously be ideal. the military base, not so much. it's an open facility, sure there are locking doors everywhere but not as strong as a prison. and all the smaller locked off areas would work well, it would be like having 10 strongholds within a stronghold. but the question is.... how many people would be able to survive with you?

maybe we could come up with a test that would tell us if someone was the right person to have with us. but i say in a group, the line should be drawn at like 8 people. unless your traveling in a vehicle, then it would depend on the cars size. over eight would make too much noise and bleed resources. oh and everyone gets a gun, basics, heavier two handed weapon, then a pistol (blunt weapon is a given) . it will be up to the people to take care of them.

Well, first off, rations. Definitely non-perishables. Nothing frozen.
Clothing: something thick. Zombies can't bite through layers of clothing. Underarmour would be great.
A little battery powered radio. Who knows, maybe there's someone out there broadcasting a safe-place.
WEAPONRY. FTW. Some form of fire. Be it a lighter, matches, a flame thrower... Something flamey. Machetes, swords, etc.. "Blades don't need reloading." Sledgehammers (depends on the strength of the person wielding it.), crowbars, pipe, etc for close combat. Guns (long range, preferably. That way, you can destroy zombies from a SAFE distance, lol.)

since you have to shoot a zombie in the head to kill it, you have to be an excellent shot to take em out at long distance, all other wounds are just superficial to them. so unless we have a trained sniper we'd just be wasting our time. so best guns in my opinion are one set of shotgun and handgun per person. and close combat weapons of course, but swords are quite likely to get stuck especially if your swingin at skulls all day without a sharpen, and sledge hammers are too heavy even for a larger person to use in battle. better to use a baseball bat or a crowbar like you said. my personal choice would be a medieval mace. that's my take on the weapons.
