Yeah, the technical is the worst part of writing... so many rules to remember, so many exceptions to those rules... >.< But you obviously have the talent, you just need a little practice. I am in college and I still make all sorts of mistakes, but the more I write the better all that technical stuff falls into place.

you know, we have a lot in common; I was like that, writing was absolutely my life, but when I read other works I felt my own pieces were... well, lacking. :sad: In fact, I haven't shared any of my stories until quite recently, only the small poems I did for here. It's kind of sad, though, because I think people have such wonderful, creative minds, but they are too afraid to share due to little things like grammar (well, not such a little thing, but I suppose you get my drift)

yes, I know what you mean. I have really good ideas for stories, but I never really follow up on them because I am a little to afraid to have people read them and see all my mistakes. I would let my friends read my fanfictions and while reading the first time they would correct my errors. It was nice of them and all, but I felt like they weren't even appreciating my story and just looking at all my mistakes

That is why I always read a person's story first- the first impression is everything, it is what the author is trying to express. I hate it when people do that, only look for the mistakes. At least read it once before correcting, that's my policy. ^.^
