This made my night. I've been feeling pretty weird, but this-- I love you. You make me happy. I dug for the response and cuddled it close. I disagree with the person seeing Puck as 100% straight. That's how I feel about Finn, Artie, and Mike, tbqh. Puck is so hyper-masculine that it's almost unreal (and PLEASE, parallels with Karofsky, people!). Show them that nuzzle gif. LOLOL

This is random, but my BFF from England has hopped the pond to visit and she's a massive Gleek like me (though her secret OTP is Puck/Finn for the ~dramaz) so it's been sooo nice to be able to chatter away about Glee to someone who gets it. This is ridonk, but we were mall-ratting earlier and stopped in Claire's (I have this insane quest for a pair of ridiculous sunglasses, omg), and INSTEAD FOUND THESE ABSOLUTELY DUMBBBBBBBB BUT AWESOME BOTTLE CAP MAGNETS RIGHT? I want a Puck time watch! Lex would pretend he thought I was being dumb, but then he'd cave and laugh just as much as me.

Okay, so early-ish in the first season I liked Puck/Kurt with a side of Finn. Now I can't even remotely see it, because so much has happened, but I feel like Finn is somehow more straight now than he started out. Probably in direct reaction to Kurt. Also gotta admit while we're admitting things that I have a minor guilty pleasure for Puck/Kurt with a side of Blaine. Because I feel like all the things that are wrong (OH SO WRONG) with Kurt/Blaine could be dealt with and fixed if Puck were in the mix. He's so blunt and forward, the other two wouldn't be able to muddle everything up. He'd straighten them out. Or, you know, get them going gayly forward.

That's what Lex and T and I say when we're giving each other directions. We say "Go straight," and then one of us starts snickering and we correct ourselves by saying "Okay, go GAYLY FORWARD."

You should know that I read that entire paragraph about your friend with a flamboyant accent. I don't know why. The voice in my head that was reading it aloud (in my head) had limp wrists and pink sunglasses. It made it hysterical for some reason. XD

Finn and Artie are definitely straight. Sam probably is in the closet, but I kinda hope he stays there for now. Mike... I could see Mike as being one of those "I'm straight but shit happens" guys, or being the 90/10 Bi, mostly toward women, type of guy. As for Puck... I do not understand why that person thinks he's 100% straight. Really, I genuinely don't get it. If it's because he's masculine or macho, that's bullshit -- and offensive bullshit to boot. That's like saying lesbians can't be femme, but for some reason nobody gets weird when a lesbian is girly, while everybody gets super weirded out and confused when a gay guy is manly. >(

Because it's the only animated show you watch, or because it's a DC AU that fucks up the timeline of everything and gives me a massive headache when I try to think about it? Or some other reason? XD

There was this interview--I don't remember who with--where the interviewer was this woman with a really overbearing personality, who kept talking about how yummy/sexy he is, and he just sat there blushing, and looking like he was restraining himself from curling into a modest little ball. But with that body? He's STILL modest? SERIOUSLY? O_O WHY?

Then at the end of the interview she asked him if there was anybody special in his life, and when he didn't answer she asked if he was, like, basking in his celebrity. He joked yes, then avidly said that no he was not basking. Then he said that his mother and (either grandmother or sister, I can't remember) are the two most important women in his life. Then he kinda blushed more and sorta nodded, and said something like "But, yeah, there might be... someone special..." and looked right into the camera. It was amazingly sweet and surprisingly gender neutral. I'm not saying he's gay, just that it's nice to hear someone in the spotlight address that question that way. Like he's with the person he's with because of who they are, not because it's a woman first, and her personality second. I don't know if that makes any sense.

Yeah, I don't actually know enough about Superman's interaction with Conner to know if it's in character or not. It made SENSE to me, since it's kind of like "Hey, you have a son!" /kazoo "Even though you've probably never even had sex!" /kazoo ... I wasn't really surprised that he's reacting through denial. But, again, I don't really know the history of that.

I'm a HUGE Conner/Tim fan, and they had Conner on a team with a robin who looks and acts like Tim, but who, apparently, is Dick? ... D8< Seriously. There are so many f-ing reasons why that is NOT Dick Grayson. He doesn't act or think like Dick, he's not built like Dick, Dick was NEVER a Red Robin, and the MASK IS WRONG. Honestly, neither do I, but if it's handled that way in the comics as well, it goes against EVERYTHING Superman stands for. This: [link] is Superman in a nutshell (it's from All-Star Superman, which is kind of amazing). Everything that Conner is going through could handled easily if they let Supes act the way Supes actually is: kind and understanding. In fact, everything Superboy is going through are things that the Kents taught Clark to deal with which is why their nonexistent, angst-ridden dynamic makes no SENSE. Superman knows what it's like to be the 'other.' He IS the other. It breaks my heart that the interaction that needs to be there isn't.

I think that interaction will come when Superman stops popping home to take periodic showers to wipe off the squick of having an offspring because somebody hijacked his DNA to make a weapon. I can understand his initial reaction as being upset by it, but Superman isn't the kind of guy to hold Conner's existence against him, you know? It's not like Conner asked to be cloned, and Clark knows this. I just don't get why it's taking so damn long for him to come around even given his initial reaction of 'oh. well. damn,' he'd still gird his loins and take care of business because he has to. He's kind of obligated as the leader to monitor this boy who is growing into his exact same powers which is dangerous... so ostracizing him is setting up for all sorts of complexes that Conner sure as shit doesn't need. I'm right there with you about Aqualad. And with a gay confession of my own. In the comics I'm all for Tim/Kon, but in this cracktastic AU world, I REALLY like the chemistry Kal and Kon are rocking. Like, they should fuck on a rock while the waves break around them like in the Little Mermaid, only with gay sex instead of red hair.

And WHY isn't Robin being there for Superboy? Even in the minimal interaction Dick had with Kon (I can't figure out if his name is with a K or a C), they got along. In this show they're like rivals or something. And it's RED ROBIN! ARGH! Red Robin was Jason Todd. Then he went bad and died. Later, after Tim and Conner were the best of gaymance besties ever, Conner died. Tim donned the Red Robin costume because it's a robin costume with Superboy's colors. So the Red Robin costume is either 1) Jason Todd, or 2) Tim Drake post depression over Conner's death, in memory of his lost (love) best friend. WHY IS IT DICK I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS THIS I CAN'T EVEN ARGH.

Megan seems to be getting better in the show. They're touching on her underlying issues from the comics. If done right, IT WILL BE AMAZING. Her deal is that she is TRYING SO HARD to be "normal".
