And sure. You can use tags when uploading a file. Tagging such as 'digital', or 'photography'. These will become a broader search and be featured more, as more people search it. Luckily, you can use as many as you want without it looking obnoxious and taking up the whole page, ha ha. There are also groups around DeviantART, and you can view them here:Β groups.deviantart.com/ ( make sure to search if you're looking for a specific one! ) You can even start your own, if you would like!
Within groups, you can submit your own, but be sure to categorize it correctly. But please be aware that some groups may decline your submission; it's entirely the group's choice, unless it auto-accepts.
As for the site, there is much to it, so if you could broad it down please, ha ha ! ( :
But here's some simple tips: The search bar will allow you to search through all the art here! DeviantART will also allow you to pick what you would like to see first, as adding the 'Newest', 'Popular Of All Time', etc. tabs to it.
