that was done in autodesk maya 2008 a 3d program (dont know if you know that one, but its very nice for modeling and animation)
the model consists out of multiple tentacles or tubes, arranged around a sphere and then just making materials that are self illuminating and reflective and a light-setup around the model

I was wondering... Would you be able/willing to create some ancient Egyptian-style 3D models, like a statue of Anubis and whatnot? I can do some 3D modeling, but I've never tried to create characters or statues, things of that nature, just architectural elements and such, and I'm looking to create some statues and other props for this ancient Egyptian-style game level I'm designing at the moment. If that's something that might interest you, let me know. If not, it's cool, figured it couldn't hurt to ask. I would give full credit of course when releasing the game level at fpsbanana.com or any other sites.

mmm... dont use skype, dont have a cam or anything... only chat type programs i have is aim/yahoo but i dont use them regularly... that and steam.
as far as reference images... im sure i can find some good pics of what im looking for but my problem is that i dont have like a top-side-front blueprint view for them to use as rotoscope images
