trust me i know that feeling. All too well.
Like i want to get up and do runs and go to the gym, but im not motivated for it. Its cool when i get started, but its getting started thats the hard part.
Find friends that have similar interests.
I have people that like to go to the gym with me and i have another group of people that give me ideas and just plain motivate me to draw, be it an idea or a picture they want me to make better than what they have.
One was an idea my friend Amber had, of a character she made in a story. She told me who and what the character was and did, told me the personality, and some of what she wore. I drew a picture even better than she described.

Thats what motivates me. That and sheer boredom.

Well first of all, it's not like there are a multitude of canonically gay characters for us to ship, so we don't have much of a choice. Also, it's not actually that much different then shipping said hero with females they are not canonically interested in, and if we were only allowed to make completely canonical fanart, then fandoms wouldn't have much of a purpose at all. Finally, it's not like we're hurting anyone by shipping yaoi. If you don't like it, then just leave it alone.
