Hello! I am ig0706. I am new to deviantART as you can see but I am learning how to navigate this place pretty quickly thanks to many helpful deviants. =)About Myself or actually this is probably a documentation of my feelings for photography so I don't forget it many years later. xD So please ignore some various, unnecessary details -they're mainly notes to myself.
***Don't read this at all, really it's just an essay/timeline for me.***
In the Summer of '09 I developed an interest in photography! I love horses even though I don't live near any (long drive)and I love how awesome Bob Langrish captures horses so sharp with a background that is beautifully blurred. (*On devART, though, there are deviants whose photography can best Bob Langrish's.)
Yet, with the point&shoot I had, moving things were so hard to capture.
I set out finding everything I could about photography. Googling stuff and even checking out Dummies books on digital photography out of the library. It was also when I learned what DSLRs were and how the image quality is so much better than point&shoots. I picked my dream camera within budget, Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D (bias for Canon because Bob Langrish used it but also because I read that Canon systems tend to be cheaper than Nikon) and checked the dummies manual of that out of the library. Yet I haven't bought the camera because I was hoping the price would dip. xD
When fall came, I enrolled myself in a photo class, to learn more. Although I was good at the photo terms(ending up getting a 99 on the final, missed a keyboard shortcut question in Photoshop), my photos sucked. (Sometimes I got C's..eek!)
On Dec. 12, 2009, I acquired my first DSLR from Costco! By then, the XSi had dropped about $100 and there was a rebate for a kit that included the regular Canon XSi kit, plus an EF-S f/4-5.6 55-250mm IS with a free Canon gadget bag, 4 GB memory card and 100 free prints from Costco! It was a dream come true! The XSi was at its bottom price too!
I've got to say, having a DSLR is heavenly! The image quality is unbelievable! Even though the Rebel is only an entry level DSLR, it's stunning in the eyes of a previous point&shoot user.
I took a second, more advanced photo class and did better. (I think I averaged B's on the photos xD but of course it was the terms test that kept me to an A,got a 98 on the final missing a question because I bubbled the wrong letter grr!) As a personal project for the end of the class, we got to choose what we wanted to learn. I chose HDR. The HDR Aerial photo in my gallery is only my third attempt at HDR. My first one stunk, though, I had to redo it or I would've probably gotten another C. Heh heh.
To be honest, I am not at all artistic. I can't draw, paint or sketch very well. xD Even my stick figures don't turn out that well. I love photography for its technical side (no wonder I did better on terms than the photos themselves). It took me forever to be able to use levels without asking my peers "Does this look good?".
I rely on my subjects (usually animals) to make my photos pretty. I hate taking photos of people because they tend to complain. Then again, I do not like having my photos taken either. Hence why I love taking photos of animals. They are always beautiful, each in their own little way.
So I am newish to the DSLR world but I hope to make the best of it.

like what i mean is you run out of days to turn your horse old. i dont get it.. i raised a beautiful arabian and now i cant go any more days! its irking! plz tell me how to not pay, cause to get more days you have to give money i think... help..

Every "real day" also ages your horse. Most of the time I don't use aging points but wait until the next day.

Pendragon is really good! It is about a boy...with two acolytes.. you know everything starts with a boy and two accomplices.. one boy and a girl.. heh heh..
Anyways it's starts off with Bobby in his regular world then he is told he is a Traveler and he can go to all these wicked cool worlds by flumes. And the series document his travels to each world but in each world he has to do something to prevent Saint Dane(the Voldemort in a sense) from taking over.
My explanation is lame because I don't want to give it away. It is a really good series.
