Yeah, kinda I guess. I lost my job so buying more art software is out of the question right now as well as going anywhere to do photography. But, I am interested in getting back into art a bit. Thought I would come back and see how things were here, to see if I wanted to continue to put my art here. It might change when I start posting art again...but the constant spam of people asking for money/points/whatever the currency is seems to have quietened down from the last time I was here. I never much minded to help people and give gifts...but I think people were using bots or something cause the same people would spam me hours after I gave them a little. That kinda upset me a bit, so I left. I didn't like the direction of the community of that time. Seems better now, though.

Seems like you are in lurk mode now according to your page. I have inattentive ADD so I tend to have aggressive energy to start things...but lose interest before I finish. I have to say, I always admired your ability to stay so true to this community...even when you need to take a break. Your like my hero and stuff.

What happened with your job? Any prospects of a new job in the near future?

There have been a lot of bots indeed, very annoying. I can understand that upset you a little.

I'm usually in lurk mode yeah. I usually check in on a daily basis, but last few weeks have been a little.. weird. I don't want to say too much about it in public
I could never leave this place entirely, I think. I've spend so much time around here. It's not really my second home anymore, but it's one of those place you always have this weird connection with.

Do you still lurk here every now and then, or really just once per year or so? I'm more active on FB and Instagram, though. Let me know if you're there too!

As far as the job goes, it was a complication of issues. I left of my own free will, due to some issues with the location and local management. I would rather not go into much detail in public...as the company itself was a good company, and I would like to  return to the company if some other location were to open up. I can elaborate in PM if you really want to know more, otherwise...

I check most days myself, as of late. But I would say...mostly lurk mode. I can't do my old giveaways, and my scanner is broke as I found out yesterday..., but still here. I might go looking through my old pictures, though. If you want to vent about anything, feel free to PM me. But I understand if you want to keep it to yourself. No pressure...just an option.  

I am lurking regular now...but...I know my personality to well to make a statement on the future.  But I did put it on my bar so it is in my face when i open the browser...so that is something.  

I am not a user of FB or Instagram. I once had a myspace...but I deleted it long ago. I don't think anyone is even on that anymore. But if I ever do, I will let you know.

Sucks that your scanner broke!

I've already been venting a lot to a friend of mine, who I've also met here, and I think I've vented enough for now, haha. I've been having some long days at work, teaching my replacement how to do my job, since I'll be getting a different position in a couple of weeks. It feels like it won't happen for a couple of months, while technically it's just 2,5 weeks.

It helps having the link on your bar. I usually have 4 tabs open in Firefox, and it remembers which tabs those are when I turn my computer on again. So, if you look at it like that, I actually never leave the site, haha

MySpace? That's only forever ago! No other sites either? How do you do that?

Thanks, but like you...I have already vented plenty.  

I hope the new position is a good fit for you. I am trying to find something completely new...but also closer to home than the last one. 12 to 16 hour shifts with a three hour round trip commute was tough.  

Honestly, as far as FB and stuff...I really never feel like I have anything to say about myself. I am pretty boring, so posting stuff like...I drank some sprite zero today and shot some basketball and nearly died, just didn't seem like something important. Maybe I am over thinking it.  

Have another wonderful day. Heck take two. Hmm, you ever spell a normal word and even though it is correct, i checked, it just looks wrong. Heck is that word for me today. just does not seem right.

I hope it's a good fit for me as well. Technically it's a maternatiy leave replacement since my colleague and friend is leaving for a couple months to have her baby. It's kind of a funny story since I applied to this position like 5 years ago and managed to turn up second. The girl I'm replacing now obviously got the job, and now my manager and the girl herself suggested me to take on the job now. First because the think I'm a good fit, and second to show I'm damn capable of doing it and possibly getting a better job in the company when she'll be back after her maternity leave. We'll see how that'll work out!

I think you're indeed overthinking it haha. I don't post that stuff on FB either I think it's a great way to keep in touch with friends, especially my friends that aren't from the Netherlands and I have quite a few of those. And I like seeing what keeps my friends busy, and not just what they ate or drank haha.

I like heck for some reason. Plus, I'm having an extra long weekend due to holidays \o/ And for once the sun is out really good here, woohoo!

Oh okay. Well I hope it all goes the way you want and you get the rewards you deserve for the hard work. I am trying to find a home in a new job myself. Somewhere to move up. Last job had a few opportunities but I didn't like the idea of moving to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania...the location of the job was in a bad area and the pay was kind of low for the area. But, honestly I don't regret it...I really didn't want to live there. Anyway, I know it will work out for you one way or another.

 Yeah, I guess I was over thinking it. But, still, I have no idea what to write. I think for now I will pass.  

 Well I hope you are enjoying your long weekend. Do all the things, ever.  I think I will cut grass...cause it needs it. And probably, uh....and then...I have nothing.

Fast forward a few months ahead; I got the job and so far it's going good! My temporary manager really, really thinks I'm doing good work, so I hope they'll find me a position so I get to stay. I really like this job and I also feel I'm doing a good job. Sometimes it's rather stressful, so they'd like me to take some anti-stress training, which I'm down for. They're paying and I'm sure it won't be a bad thing, so now I'll have to figure out what I want to do. They already mentioned NLP and mindfulness training, but I'm not sure if there are more options. Still looking into it. But yay, for liking the job!

Have you found a job meanwhile?

Ah, That is great to hear!   I am glad you are finding a nice spot to be, and that they are so supportive. Makes me jealous since I have never heard of a job like that in my area. I guess I need to start learning some new languages and relocate, lol. 

But no, nothing yet. It is just kind of dead here. Thousands apply for 1 or 2 openings. Just got to keep trying. Used to be easier, in that your local workmanship would help you get work by word of mouth. Now everything is by internet. I am getting old...I have already started my decent into, "Dang newfangled doomahichies...everything was fine back in my day!" lol.

So, fast forward another shitload of months! I couldn't stay in the position I had back then, because the entire department was being reorganized and I didn't like the plan they had for it. So they kind of offered me another job, and since February I'm the Purchase Coordinator. Another completely different job again, but hey, it's not bad and it pays the bills. I will go back to school again, but not for the anti stress training they wanted me to do back then. Now it'll be NEVI, which is the official Procurement training, which is also paid by my employer. So yes, you should learn a new language and relocate. Then again, we have a lot of people working with us that aren't speaking any Dutch, so I'm not saying you can't Plus, we're also located in the US, so it's always an option

How've you been doing? Any update on the job?

yes, well a trip in 2011, last one in 2014 and I plan go back there next year *excited*
And yes tissue papers yes some of them indeed, and they give candies too ^^
but it's fun because most of the time there is the boss who's checking if they do correctly their job so they're very careful to give them only to the ad targets, so some are only for young girls, some for guyes, some for elder women etc so they have this very special way to give them, in a second they check who you are and offer it to you or quickly (and almost gracefully) take the tissue paper and ad away to give it to the real ad target.
Yes yes don't disappear (or tell me before you do OK!!!)

I'm fine too, last year I visited my friends in Tokyo so it was really great! Made a lot of pictures of course, and still drawing a lot, and lately I worked a little bit more on 3D which is load of fun, so everything's OK: I create and learn new stuff so it's all I need to be content
