Well, I've just never really been "up-to-par" with everyone else really. I don't have a lot of options, nor do I have a lot of supplies. I am an amateur as well. Plus, creativity is not a strong suit of mine either. As you can tell, self-confidence isn't really my thing. Hence the name and mentality.

Comparison can be good to some extend, as long as it motivates you to get better, but when it starts to affect your self esteem, it gets harmful. Don't compare yourself with others too much. Don't let those thoughts discourage you.
Contrary to what people say, expensive supplies do not equal a great artist. I know that you can make wonders with just a piece of paper and a generic pencil. Creativity is a complex thing, really. I mean, there is not much to create, everything is already invented. What can one do is to take an already existing concept and give it your touch. That's what I sort of try to do.
I am an amateur as well, but we have to start from somewhere, don't let that bother you. As you, I also don't have much confidence, but the thing about art is that the more you do it, regardless of the mistake one can make, the more you improve. You always go forward, never backwards. All I can say to you is that just keep drawing no matter what others might say or think, or what "level" they may be at.

Well, I kind of get inspired by people around me and stuff I like. So what I do is that I combined both of them and create a design for a character.
