i work as long as im not satisfied with it really xD its an avarage of a total of 8 hours, my first one with ponies was made on August 14, 2012, and i only recently started to do original animation from strach and not a base. thou keep in mind that i use vectors in anime studio opposed to your pixel animations, which take more effort and time to look good but if you do master that then it will be preety easy to go into other kinds of animation so i suggest you try improving constantly as much as you can, try to make more movement and more in-betweens and you should be on the right track

i use anime studio 9.5 pro at the moment, but anime studio 10 pro is out by now and i might look at that soon
it doesnt require much tutorials, and i only needed help with the bone system
but if you want a demonstration how much practice it takes to get the hang of it completely just check my gallery XD

it has an interface that can be learned preety quick and it keeps it simple, opposed to flash which is complicated compared to A. Studio
if you decide to use it dont be afraid to ask for help and tips if you need any i dont bite

 I'm definitely going to look into it. I think most of the practice needed is just to figure out the physics of things like hair/manes, which is a risk I'm willing to take!
