I know what you mean...here is the same: italian ppl, not only chicks, everyone from the 10-year-old boy to the grandfather, love mobiles and text messaging! it's unbelievable...it is a symbol of social position! But, I agree that girls use it most...well actually now there's the "Facebook phenomenon" which is substituting the text messaging habit - and honestly, I don't know which one is worst! :( (Sad)
I quite like your idea of "two" lives, the social life detached from your own life. People becomes mad just in order to "be cool"...and you don't know how much I'm sorry for them... I like to have fun too on my weekends, and of course I use the mobile phone to meet my friends- but that's it. You should need a mobile just to arrange meeting and to use it when you're in difficult situations (i don't know, when you are late, when you get lost... Wink/Razz )
