Bruce Gilden is an American photographer based in New York. He is infamous for his close candid street photography which often enters the personal space of people very unwelcomingly. Gilden is often criticised for his aggressive approach, but the photos speak for themselves. Gilden’s images are harsh and Gilden’s attitude is unforgiving. Gilden often uses a flash and this creates a startled expression on his subjects face not too dissimilar to a deer in headlights
