# About me

A norwegian-danish girl with an unhealthy obsession with Blink-182. Nothing more, nothing less.

Other than Blink-182 I quite enjoy reading good old fashioned books, watching That 70’s Show and rom-coms from the 80s, old aircooled Volkswagens, green apples, pomegrantes and sleeping. I sleep a lot.

I'm also an immensely negative person most of the time, and I can't handle people really well.

And I really despise changes. Like minor changes in the metro-system that affects my daily life just a litte. I hate it. I get really anxious when it happens. I also very much dislike choosing. I don't like having options at all.

So all in all I'm not awfully interesting really, and I'm kind of socially awkward. But someone has to be like that too, I guess.

Well, I do too. It's something about the old Blink that is absolutley fantastic (and it's definetly what I love most about them) - but there's something about the new Blink too... Their new album lies kind of close to my heart. It might be because it's the only album of theirs I have on vinyl... Haha. But Other than Neighbourhoods, Take of Your Pants and Jacket is proooobably my favourite. OK. I'll stop ranting. Sorry.

And it's such a good thing they decided to reform the band ! So I won't complain about that album which is pretty good ^^ !

ingenh In reply to Midnight-63 [2013-02-24 17:39:40 +0000 UTC]

Yeah it was! It's kind of embarrasing to say, but I didn't even notice that they split up... I just listened to their music and found them fantastic and was content with that and then suddenly they came out with some new music and started touring and I was ecstatic! Haha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Midnight-63 In reply to ingenh [2013-02-25 10:58:45 +0000 UTC]

Ah, you know, when I started listening to them, they had already splited up ^^ ! Bbut I was so so glad they reformed the band, cause I think it's quite "sad" not listen to a band that doesn't exist anymore, that's not gonna evolve...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ingenh In reply to Midnight-63 [2013-02-25 20:25:48 +0000 UTC]

I don't even remeber when I started listening to them, now that I think about it! They've just always been there, haha. But it is sad to listen to a band being unable to expect something new. Even if the music's good... I like having something to look forward too!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Midnight-63 In reply to ingenh [2013-02-26 10:51:03 +0000 UTC]

But the most frustating is when the band still exists but it doesn't do nothing new ! Or when they don't make a tour !

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ingenh In reply to Midnight-63 [2013-02-26 11:01:18 +0000 UTC]

Yes! Absoultley! Especially when they do a tour but skip your contry... Thats frustrating. I've been travelling to Belgium the last few years to see the bands I like because they don't visit Norway

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Midnight-63 In reply to ingenh [2013-02-26 11:56:00 +0000 UTC]

Yeah ! For example, I love Three Days Grace, and they do, maybe, 3 dates in Europe !
But I'm quite lucky, France is a country bands rarely "forget".
Woh ! I've never travelled to another country to see a band !

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ingenh In reply to Midnight-63 [2013-03-01 15:22:02 +0000 UTC]

You should consider yourself lucky there! Even though the European dates are few, I guess they often pick places nearer France than Norway... But it's really frustrating with the American bands only touring America I've been lucky the past few years, 'cause almost all the bands I've been wanting too se have been playing at this festival in Belgium, so me and my father have been going there. It's really good! And it's great combining traveling with live music!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Midnight-63 In reply to ingenh [2013-03-03 18:25:05 +0000 UTC]

Yah, I think too ^^ !
About american bands, ya, Tthree Days Grace are Canadian, they make more than 20 dates only in USA !
Huuum, festivals, last year, in Arras, in France,3 of my favorite bands came, and I couldn't go! The other matter is that a ticket for concert near my home are quite cheap (about 25€) and for Festival, it's more than 60 !

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ingenh In reply to Midnight-63 [2013-03-03 20:06:49 +0000 UTC]

I prefer concerts to festivals, cause concerts are cheaper (as you mentioned) and the bands often have a better setlist than on festivals. But I take what I can get
And it's so sad when you can't go to concerts or festivals when your favourite bands play and its near you! That's like the worst thing. Only one thing is worse: when you've looked forward to a concert for SO long, and then, when you stand in line at the venue - they cancel. And they don't rearrange a date. This happened to me in 2010, it was the worst thing ever! They cancelled their show in Oslo because the drummer got pneumonia, and then they went on with their tour in Sweden the next day. Blah.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Midnight-63 In reply to ingenh [2013-03-04 12:44:09 +0000 UTC]

And also, in concerts, bands are sure to have only fans, maybe it influence them ^^ !
Ya ! It happened to me less than 2 months ago ! Billy Talent went to my favorite concert hall, they did only 3 dates in France, but they had to cancel, and they rearranged the two other dates, not ours !
And two years ago, 30 Seconds to Mars went at the same concert hall, and I had a big exam that day! I missed stupidely two of my favourite bands, and they are certainly not gonna come again so close than my home !

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ingenh In reply to Midnight-63 [2013-03-07 15:19:01 +0000 UTC]

Aww that's so sad D: It's like you have the ultimate chance to see your favourite band there right in front of you, but it just won't work out...
I have this thing for these old norwegian rock bands, whom have played together since the 80's or 90's. The problem with these bands is that they ALWAYS play gigs with age limits. Last year all three of my favourite norwegian bands played at a festival in which you had to be 18 years old to enter, and I was 17...
And since the band members of these bands are old, I am also super afraid that they'll either split up or just stop playing gigs when I turn 18 so I'll never get to see them. I get a little anxious over wierd things sometimes

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Midnight-63 In reply to ingenh [2013-03-10 21:02:31 +0000 UTC]

Wow ! I didn't know that concert with a limited age existed !
Humm, ya, I'm always afraid when I think that one of my favourite band could have already released its last album !

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ingenh In reply to Midnight-63 [2013-03-13 09:07:20 +0000 UTC]

Well, it's not the concert itself that is age restricted, it's the venue the bands play in... If they serve at the venue alcohol it's 18+. It's really frustrating!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Midnight-63 In reply to ingenh [2013-03-19 16:23:19 +0000 UTC]

Oh ? In France, people who are less than 18 are allowed to drink alcohol, we just can't buy it ^^ ! And there's almost always alcohol, in concerts ! Well everytime I went to a show, there was ^^ !
OH ! I don't know why I tell you about it, but, you know, I had told you that Billy Talent a canceled a date, and I've just seen that it was rearranged on the 10th of july ! My exams will be finished ! So so so glad !

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ingenh In reply to Midnight-63 [2013-03-20 20:04:48 +0000 UTC]

I don't know how the rules about alcohol really are (I don't drink, so it doesn't matter much to me...), but I know you are allowed to buy alcohol at 18, therefore also consume it, but you aren't allowed to buy alcohol to minors, so I guess you're not allowed to drink it unless you buy it yourself... Confusing :s
But I guess they're kind of strict about this here, at all concerts I've been to it's never been served alcohol. As far as I remember... With festivals as an exeption of course. I have actually been to a venue where they have two stories, where there's alcohol serving downstairs and not upstairs!
Haha, thats the best feeling ever when cancelled events are rearranged! And it sounds like the rearranged date was convienient for you too
I was going to buy tickets to Muse last December, but they were sold out super fast, so I didn't manage, but they cancelled and moved their show to the summer at a bigger venue with more tickets, so I got some - that was also pretty neat.

Midnight-63 In reply to ingenh [2013-03-28 19:37:20 +0000 UTC]

Ahah, I think the difference is that I'm from France, the country of wine, and it'd be unbelievable to forbid completely alcohol ^^ !

Yaaa ! I can't wait !

Woh ! Lucky you ! I'd love to see Muse !

You're probably right!

I'm actually going to a concert tonight! I'm gonna to see Jake Bugg at this small local venue. I've been looking forward to it for so long, and then I found out that I have to be going alone, since all the tickets are sold out, and now I don't want to go at all! Haha. I can't stand big crowds of people in small places. I hope I'll survive

Midnight-63 In reply to ingenh [2013-04-07 10:43:59 +0000 UTC]

Ah ! I get it ! My best friend will probably be on hollidays, during Billy Talent's show, but other people in my high school will go, so I hope I won't be alone ^^ !

So, was it great, yet ? Did you survive ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ingenh In reply to Midnight-63 [2013-04-07 20:03:26 +0000 UTC]

I did actually survive! But firstly, I managed to forget my ID at home. Wooops. But I did get in at last! And then I just stood there by a wall, loneing while the support played drinking a coke... Haha. I felt soooo awkward. And when Bugg played I stood in the crowd in a fairly good spot, UNTIL this man as wide as a wall decided to stand right in front of me. Just my luck. Other that that I enjoyed the show though! Even though I felt extreemly awkward most of the time standing there alone, but at least I didn't die

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Midnight-63 In reply to ingenh [2013-04-09 19:23:58 +0000 UTC]

You gotta have your ID ? I've never shown mine at a concert ! Actually, I think I let it in the car everytime ^^ ! And it's such a mess to enter the concert hall that I think they couldn't ask you your ID even if they wanted it ^^ !
Yah, I can understand ! It might be embarrassing to be alone, even if no one sees you.
Ah, I've never had that problem at a show (at the cinema, yes), nobody too tall came in front of me ^^ ! That might me a pain ! When you go to a show, you wanna see the musicians !

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ingenh In reply to Midnight-63 [2013-04-15 18:51:45 +0000 UTC]

I do indeed! If the venue serves alcohol at least... The venues (well at least the smaller ones) don't earn money on selling tickets, but rather on serving alcohol to the crowds, and if they're caught serving people underage they can get their right to serve alcohol taken from them and then they wont earn any monet at all... But all the concerts I've been to before I've not shown my ID!
Indeed! At a show you want to see the musicians and at the cinema you want to see the movie! People taller than me always manage to find a way to stand or sit in front of me. It sucks to be small

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Midnight-63 In reply to ingenh [2013-04-18 15:44:24 +0000 UTC]

Well, they serve alcohol anyway, even if they don't know who you are ^^ !
I'm sure tall people hate us ! It's a conspiracy !

ingenh In reply to Midnight-63 [2013-04-20 21:09:16 +0000 UTC]

Yes it is! Tall people only live for making life harder for us small people. Bastards. Haha
I've been planning my summer the last week! And so far it contains loads of concerts and festivals! Well, at least in July, so far I'm going to two festivals and a concert. And I can't wait! I love having something to look forward to towards summer. Usually I don't do anything special... Other that travelling to warmer countries with my family (but I'm not the sun's biggest fan, haha), so finally I'm gonna do something fun

I was sure ! It's a case for the CIA, the KGB and the MI-7 ! Maybe for Mission: Impossible !
Woooh, lucky you ! Last year, I would have loved to go to a festival, cause 4 of my favourite bands were playing the same night, but I finally couldn't, and this year, there's no festival that appeals to me, cause when only one band I like is playing, I feel like I'm wasting 60€ ^^ !
Hum, I'm sure I'm not gonna go anywhere this summer, maybe I'll work in fields to earn money ^^ !

It's their first concert in Norway and I absolutley love their music.... 100€ miiight be a little expensive to see one band but... I've already bought the tickets
I wish I was un-lazy so I could manage to works some in the summer to earn some money, but I'm not! I think I'm just going to spend the rest of my vacation being lazy and eating strawberries at my cabin

And if I'm lucky I have mye drivers licence too, so I can drive my VW beetle down to the festival grounds and rent a hut to oversleep. As my father would say: it's not a waste of money if you have fun!
But I'm planning to apply for a job after the summer though! So I can work besides school and wear myself out instead of working away my vacations

You have a driver license ? The whole world can drive before 18 but France ! And Oh My God, your car (I search on google cause I didn't know what it was ^^ ) is wonderful ! So so so cute !
Your father's right, but... 100€ ! I can't take 100€ out of my piggy bank for a one concert ^^ !
You're right (too), don't waste your holidays ! Oh, I couldn't work after school, or maybe some wednesdays, I leave school too late, and I have homeworks ^^ !

I don't have drivers license yet... We can't get our drivers licenses until 18 in Norway either, but you can start practicing at 16. I tuned 18 i march so I could have taken mine a while ago, but I am (as you might have understood already) a little lazy, haha! I'm gonna have my practical test in the end of June. Fingers crossed it ends well so I can take my bug out all summer! Here's a picture of it: [link] He's a real charmer my car! Haha.
Well, I have loads of money saved up that I don't have any plans for, so I thought why not have some fun this summer!
I'm not going to work so much though, maybe a few saturdays a month. Just to earn a little besides my scolarship

Ooooh, it's even more beautiful than the photos I have seen, you're so lucky ^^(okay, it's only a car).

I started driving just after turning 17 tho, so I've had loads of practising. Once my step dad just "you haven't driven any, have you? Lets gogogo!!" And then we started, haha. It's like riding a bike! Once you've learned it, it's stuck.
I'm going to apply for a part time job at a pet shop (or whatever you call it in english... A store that sell pet supplies)! It's not open late in the evenings, so I can't work much after school, but only in the weekend. I just hope I the job! It would've been amazing.
