hey Lauren its Gwen, finally got my account and figured out how to leave messages (yes, the brain got me through slower than usual there). I love this site, some people are just so so talented they deserve to become rich for their talent. (but then again talent is given to you at birth, you don't work for it, so maybe they don't) I spend ages on it, and i "dedicated" a page of my website to these artists, go check it out. last time i visited Amsterdam was with an traditional dutch party. called: "Queens Day" (Koninginendag)
There where so much people there!
When i came out of the train, people where starting to walk on the railroads. XD And everywhere orange... Yep.. that was cool.
I live near The Hague.. 10minutes by train.
My city called Zoetermeer.
The Hauge is not so fun.. i'm coming there more for festivals, bands .ect
I would like to live in France. Dunno why.. France is just very attractive for me. Holland is a good place to live to.. but some little things just ennoying me... like the NS (the dutch train company) They make a lot of money, but don't worship the travelers. A ticket is so expensive here!!! In the weekends i travel a lot with the train and then i most buy a ticket.
In a normal work week.. Monday / Friday i have a special student ticket so i don't have to buy anything.
And, for what kind of reasons?

hey. saw your post on the art forum. i've felt that way before too, since the most commented piece on my gallery was this picture of me with some simple photoshop editing
but i started to notice that if you do a little searching and get more involved in the whole spirit of the traditional art community, you're bound to find the support and comfort you're looking for 
hm, but i haven't taken the time to do that, maybe i'll get around to it one day

Its the latest fad with graphics and digital multiple-print-out , even at the schools I attended. but if you look closer, its a fad. the tradition stays and people at the end will always fancy an original more and pay its worth (if you take a look offline 
no offense to deviants, but you are right. Work fancied here is mostly digital and easyly made, one sided talents often. YOu'll have to deal with this on deviant, saddly, maybe everywhere online.

i dont necessarily think that digital is just a fad, there is some digital that has left a profound impact on the world and can definetly be considered as art for a long time to come.
i like your sculptures. ive always thought of experimenting with ceramics.. dont think i'll do to good though.. heh i'll see.

You have a nice style, very colourful and with a good eye for lighting. There's a lot of mood in your pictures, a lot of feeling. I can see you going a long way!
And you know what you should do? Make a deal with your parents. Tell them you'll pay art school for yourself, and if everything's still great after the first year, they contribute as well. Or something like that. You could make a deal about going to academia as well, after art school or if art school turns out bad.
*ahum* I'll stop now. It's just that I always negotiate and make deals with my parents and it pretty much always works ^^
