Me too! Out of curiosity, what did you think about the ending to ME3?

oh gosh. i still don't know. i thought the rest of the game was beautifully crafted, and loved all the resolution to major and minor story lines up to that point. and Renegade interrupting/shooting the Illusive Man was kind of awesome for my Paragon FemShep.
but that stupid final scene with the glowy space child infuriated me. i'm playing back through the series to see if having each game fresh in mind when i reach the end will influence my Catalyst decision. i don't know if it will.
i chose Synthesis, even though I had insanely high EMS/etc, because i couldn't bear the idea that organics with synthetic implants (all biotics, for example) would die or be crippled if i destroyed synthetics. and Control was too much like what Cerberus wanted, and as a Sole Survivor/Colonist Shepard, Cerberus isn't exactly close to my heart.
so there's my novel haha.

I know what you mean. It's a tough call. My first playthrough, I reluctantly went with Control. Then I learned about the Indoctrination Theory, which seems pretty awesome if it is true, so I loaded back and chose the Destroy option, which the Indoctrination Theory states is actually the "good" answer and that the glowing child is lying to you to try to kill you (after all, both Control and Synthesis result in Shepard's death), which means that they take over your mind in the real world.
I can't say for sure if the theory is correct, but there is some pretty substantial evidence behind it. The problem with it is that, if you survive (which shows you back on the Earth, where you got hit by the Reaper's beam, not up on the Citadel)you still have not really destroyed the Reapers. If at that point, you could get up and finish the fight, it would be an airtight ending.

I know, there are so many variables and so much speculation to consider. Until the DLC comes out, we won't know for sure, but I don't have high hopes for the resolution that will provide, since they aren't changing anything but providing "clarification." sighhhhh.
I think this next playthrough of mine (I just started ME2 after blazing through ME1) will probably end with Destroy. Although I never expected Shepard to survive the final battle, I was disappointed with the closure of Synthesis (Joker and Edi are Adam and Eve now? Really?), and I don't like the silly cutscene at the end with Buzz Aldrin the more I think about it. bleah.

Unfortunately, the endings are all so similar--just some minor differences here and there. But yeah, I don't know what to think about the DLC yet. It is certainly possible that there is just something that we missed, and that clarification will cause everything to line up (especially the Buzz Aldrin part), but I don't know. When does it come out?
