I started seriously writing when I was 13, about the same time I joined dA. It was (and is) a coping mechanism for me.

I think it was like a couple years ago. I didn't ever really feel like I needed to write as some kind of therapy or anything so I'm not really in that boat.... But I do find it very relaxing and it helps me understand what I really think about the world. Lol I don't know if that makes sense....
