# About me
I raised four children more or less successfully. Divorced once, married twice. Fine woodworker and fine finisher, living in the deep redwoods a few miles from the ocean south of San Francisco. I could tell you more, but you wouldn't believe it. I wouldn't, if someone had told me my story. Google James Adams La Honda. Don't take my word for it.# Comments

James, I'm just here to thank you for your comment on a work of mine. I was so entangled in your comment that I just had to peek at your work. And let me tell you, I'm loving every bit. You got a follower here.

Thanks for the critique! I was looking for someone to give me some advice!
And I will be hopefully getting some friends to pose... Sadly, they are the shy sort. This may take some time. Wish me luck!

Sometimes I have a hard time getting around on dA. I'm not naturally digital.
I hadn't remembered writing "The Wind and the Leaf"! And it wasn't until I saw your comment on my profile that it came back to me.
Something in your work inspired that. I'd been thinking of opportunities missed, paths not taken, regrets over what I've done and haven't done.
The examined life is the only one worth living, don't you think? But that's a scalpel which cuts both ways; in laying open our thoughts and feelings, we get laid open, otherwise, all that can come out is dust on a windowsill.
So, vpaton, I hope you're well and working.
James

you are so right about an examined life being the only way to go..otherwise, what is all of this for right? We have to make life mean something other than just random events passing us by.
thanks for your thoughts...very inspiring!!
