I am a planetary scientist, educator, fiction writer, and poet who has always been a fan of speculative art, including science fiction, fantasy, horror and the just plain weird. My website, Fictional Planet onewritersmind.blogspot.com is where I post about new projects, writing tips, art that catches my eye, and astronomy items of interest. My publications include a textbook about the inner planets, over three dozen poems, two short stories and a pile of scientific and educational papers and articles. I came to dA looking for great art to highlight my blog and inspire my writing, and I haven't been disappointed!

I agree. I also enjoy seeing people give more air time to younger and lesser known people who are just stepping out as artists, so I tried to do some of that, myself. I think poets in particular need a lot of encouragement, as it is hardly something you get rich doing - it is strictly for the love of the form.

Nod Nod Nod Nod Nod which is pretty much the true sense of community those more established give exposure to those newer members with promising talent :D (Big Grin) encouraging is something that needs to be applied to all areas of art be it new artists who need that encouragement or those older ones who just need a boost on occasion Aww Aww Aww Aww Aww
