# Interests
Favorite visual artist: I've got too many to choose from.Favorite movies: FF:AC, HP series, The Avengers, Wreck-it Ralph, etc.
Favorite TV shows: Does Red vs Blue and RWBY count? Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Avatar (both series)
Favorite bands / musical artists: Hmm... can't really say. I pick music by the lyrics not by the sounds.
Favorite books: Ender's Game (series), Knight of the Word (series), Magic Kingdom for Sale (series)
Favorite writers: Brian Jacques, Orson Scott Card, Terry Brooks, Mike Hines
Favorite games: Mount and Blade: Warband, Final Fantasy (7-10, 12, 13, Tactics: WotL), Kingdom Hearts (series), Halo (series), The Sims 2, Minecraft, Uncharted (series), The Last of Us, Dragon's Dogma, Little Big Planet 2, and much much more.
Favorite gaming platform: PS3/PC although my 360 sees some action when my brothers are on Halo 4.
Tools of the Trade: Whatever is on hand? I've written on napkins before. My preferred writing tool is my Chromebook.
Other Interests: As you can tell by my list of favorites, gaming has a pretty solid place in my life. Photography is a talent of mine, but for lack of a camera it will likely remain untapped for a while.
# About me
I am the founder and co-writer for the upcoming web-comic, 8 of Hearts; the story spans many different genres and styles in a way that will make it truly enjoyable for many different types of audiences.I have been writing casually for seven years now, and I've never really considered myself professional in any way. I've never had any education in creative writing, and honestly I failed my English classes repeatedly. It has taken me seven long years of practice to really become confident in my work, and I can proudly say that the experience will be unlike anything else.
I do love working with other writers and artists; I find that the varying perspectives can really be a learning experience even at the worst times. I'm always happy to share what I've learned along the way, so feel free to ask for (or offer) advice.

You know, I was really tempted to claim I was in my 70's-80's just for the lols. Then I remembered I have a newborn that makes that slightly implausible.

I would have only been fooled for maybe a day or two before the 'wait a minute' effect kicked in

I take delight in everyone's mind, slow working or not; psychological warfare is my specialty.

Hello. i was wondering if the stephanie hall story you just submitted will be continued? is it part of an ongoing story?

Actually, yes on both accounts. Originally my goal was to tell the story of Isaac Matthews (the boy she's being hired to watch) from her perspective; once I created her, I realized I didn't want her role to be so small. There is more to her story, and I do want to post it in full when it is finished, but there are still a few details I need to iron out.
I should make it clear that her story will fall under the paranormal/horror genre; that may not be evident in this small sample.
Thank you for your interest!

I'm always late. It's a thing with me.
Of course, I don't know quite what I'm late for. Did we set a time for something?
In my defense, my wife went back to work leaving me with all three children for the first time (when I'm not at work myself). I should be free Saturday afternoon though! Children allowing.

Thank you! I'm very psyched for this round, even though it will require a great deal more effort than the last.
I looked, but I didn't see your name. I do look forward to whatever else you write anyway.

Ya, sadly I didn't make it. =/ Did you read my entry by chance? I can't remember.
But regardless, thank you. (= I think I'm going to enter that other 1000 word short story contest the group posted! It sounds very interesting. And I still have that lullaby poem I need to write for you too. (I haven't forgotten! I promise! lol)
I wish you luck with round 2! ^_^

Thanks! I actually did read your entry, and it was quite good; I wish they would give clear feedback when they are going through so it's easier to understand why certain pieces get cut.
I believe (if I don't change my mind before I submit it) that the piece I'm working on to submit will actually reference that lulliby. Nothing direct or specific, just the "event" if you will.
I am tempted by that other contest too, but I don't think I should streach myself too thin; one at a time for me.

You're welcome! And thank you. I wish they would do so as well. It would be nice to know why certain pieces didn't make the cut. If only to be able to improve in the future.
Oooh, exciting! I think I may actually endeavor to work on that lullaby next...
Yes, that is always wise.

Oh, there's no rush or anything; the actual scene I would love to use it in is very far down the road. It could be a couple years depending on how fast I pace things.
