It's quite solid.  Some of the supporting characters could use a bit more fleshing out but it gives a ton of great character to the Death Spectres, as the main character is from that chapter.

I'll be completely honest, as I have a huge amount vested in the Nightmares myself. The wings look great and work as an alternate form. I've said previously that I'm not a fan of the tail as it gives the whole icon too much of a heart shape, and I'm afraid that hasn't changed. As a suggestion, remember that Primus marines will have their symbol on the gold shoulder, so having it a against a gold or yellow background will help make it easier to compare colors.

Basically, my suggestion is to use the Owlglass with the tail as the symbol for the Icelus Guard as opposed to the Nightmares. Perhaps making the wings more aquila-shaped as I've found many guard regiment symbolism tends to focus on the aquila of some form or another. I might not, personally, like the design but I don't want to see it go to waste.

Thanks and that is why I posted them on deviantart, get some more people's input on how the update some of the images. I completely forgot about the primus background and you weren't the only person to remind me. I have one question do you think each company gets its only insignia changes and if so how should it be represented on owl and hourglass. I like the imperial guard take on it and I am working on one that uses the purple and a drab green mix on it. If you have any other suggestions let me know.

I wouldn't say there's any company-level changes to the chapter symbol. The major change has always been at the battlegroup level. The only two that always stood out in terms of different owlglasses were the Nightowls and the Sleepless. That said, I feel individual captains can have all sorts of personal heraldry over the rest of their bodies as befitting their company's preferred fighting style and their own honorary title. For instance, Captain Koza of 4th company might have his one gold fist painted over to appear as a flame or fireball.
Just thought of something. As you know, every Nightmare has a dreamcatcher that is weaved and grows more complex the longer they're in the chapter. Perhaps a company shares a certain style or icon they add to their dreamcatchers. Something that anyone knowledgeable enough about the dreamcatchers would be able to translate and determine what company its owner was from.
