I absolutely love that costume. The Clone Saga was totally raging when I started getting into comics, so I get kind of nostalgic when I see it. I thought the Saga was cool while everyone else seemed to be complaining about it.

i like the clone saga, the style of Mark Bagley at these times, the John Romita Jr. takes of scarlet spider, kaine, and i like the first Aunt May death, and i don't know why? they kill Ben reilly they could be leaving in the marvel universe and do great things.

I can understand why Marvel swept the whole "Peter Parker has a clone" thing under the rug the way they have, but for Ben Reilly always seemed really cool to me.

You should check out the Marcos Martin issues of Amazing Spider-Man, they're fantastic. #618 is coming out on January 20th, maybe you could give it a quick read on the stand?

i like is art is awesome, very old school and i see the art etc. but i don't believe in the story any more for me don't make sence harry lives and never married and since 1987 to 2008 these story's never happend? and all others marvel continuity? what happend? that is a big mistake and i sometimes do a quick read on the comic store, but i don't buy it any more.

Yeah, the whole One More Day story line was pretty lame, but I like Peter being single. For me the ends kind of justify the means. When Marcos in doing the art I like to pretend the story is happening right after the Stan/Ditko run. I hear what you're saying about continuity though.

yeah i like single too, but for me is more easy Mephisto said to peter chose your aunt or MJ and he chose MJ to die. i always hate MJ i love Gwen but i like Peter to be Single becuase is Peters curse and can get all.

also they mess the thing whit civil war and what happend? peter show is face why all change? civil war change? seriusly i don't understand?

hope you don't thing im mad!! jejeje

Thanks for the watch. Nice gallery too. What class are you teaching? And finally, what was the book on hand anatomy? The book on hands that I have is the Burne Hogarth book, but I'm always happy to know about others.

You're welcome, I'm really loving your art analysis journal entries.

This is my second year teaching a class on storyboarding, along with some animation and equipment usage thrown in. I also managed to teach a three week January-term on comics as literature. The basic conceit was that if students can understand what Two-Face means to the Batman and his mission, they can understand "Old Man and the Sea." It's all symbol and metaphor; in comics we just put our symbols so far out into the open that they get overlooked.

Unfortunately one of my students ran off with the hand anatomy book last year, so it's been out for the summer. I'm going to attempt tracking it down now that school is back in. I'll pop you the publisher info if/when I get it back. It wasn't Hogarth, but it was still pretty good and pocket-sized.

Got my book back, it was "Bridgman's Book of 100 Hands." The title makes it sound like one of those quick-n-easy guides, but it's a solid resource.

Mine's a dusty old '62 edition, but amazon has a more recent printing available. [link]

Glad to hear you got it back. I have the big "Complete Bridgman" book plus several of his smaller ones, but I don't have this particular one. (It's not in the big one, either.) In a critique over on conceptart.org someone just recommended that I copy his drawings with respect to the interlocking forms, so I've been doing that over the last couple of days.

So...gonna have your hand at coloring that landscape? If I have nothing else to do I might start painting it with gouache this weekend or something.

You're free to mess around with some gouache, it'll be a while before I get around to doing any coloring. I'm knee deep in writing at the moment.

Someday I'll get around to posting some of the new stuff on DeviantArt...
